but there is no surprise. and there hasnt been for years with this company.

bow users have enjoyed over a decade of being 40-60% of the builds people play, and the build has the capacity to have 100-150 rarity. with one shot clearing capability, insane movement speed, high single target damage, and it honestly only got worse in poe2. the only deviation in poe2 was with LS for a single, season... which might as well have been a bow user because it literally played the same. capability to get 100-150 rarity... high movement speed. one shot clearing capability. and high single target dmg. and its literally 1 button lol.

we've screamed to the high heavens to change this by raising the ceiling of lower represented builds because of it. and they havent done it. in over a decade. in two seperate games. instead, they do what they always do. nerf bat anything that isnt the problem. (like nerfing spark. or the minion nerfs. or coc comet for example in poe2 SO FAR)

the problem has always been build diversity.

removing item rarity doesnt change the problem. it compounds it.

removing item rarity now means there is literally no reason to build even more builds, which will push players to play one shot clearing, fast moving builds, with high single target even more....(you know.. what people already do as a bow user 40-60% of the time) to clear more maps ... faster... than everyone else, which essentially does the same thing as item rarity, as they are getting more drops faster than everyone else still.

except now, people cant build a rarity bot. or a build that has high rarity that is different to compete with the bow users.

Unless they show me a video of him saying that or him confirm this, this is straight up fake news to me.

i honestly dont even know where this thought process comes from to remove rarity... acting like removing even more builds is going to change the fact that 40-60% of the playerbase has literally been using the same Bow with Lightning arrow for 10 fucking years lol...

thinking logically for literally 2 seconds, would make it so you come to the conclusion removing more builds, and playstyles, is bad.

They should just make currency not based on rarity like it is in POE that would fix currency rarity issues. since not all classes can get 100+ rarity without sacrificing resists and defenses and other things. that or remove resist penalty at end game make it 0% instead of negative number. either would fix it for most classes getting to 150 rarity.

That would still be a dreadful move by GGG and I will do everything in my power and speak against it whenever I can.

They could implement it differently for pinnacles and abysses in order having other rarity juicing affecting areas.

But changing it so it dosen't affect currency would be a massive blunder/disaster. People would yell constantly in the forums vastly more than now that drops would be utter garbage. If on the other hand they make these drops too readily available without the gear, then this becomes a failed/dead game like D3/D4.

Rarity is a mod you have to work your way with to min max your gear and I like having to deal with this puzzle deciding which piece of gear I cut power to have rarity on it.

There are a lot of silent ppl not coming in the forums because they are not angry. Remove IIR on gear or make it void on currency scaling drop and you will see hostile comments on a level which you've never seen on this forums before.

Not correct at all.

Runes were not a currency like in PoE. Runes were a crafting material but became the defacto item for the trade system due to their usefullness and the ability to recraft them.

Runes were not affected by Magic find when looking at chests in LK as they were fixed loot tables, but Runes were impacted by Magic find when coming from monster drops as the monster loot tables were all impacted by magic find.

I believe what the streamers are asking for (and I agree to an extent) is for currency drops to be on fixed loot tables based on the area difficulty. So currency from a T1 White should be lower tier than a T1 Yellow waystone (but not a lot) and the drops from T16's or T15 irradated etc. i.e. currency drops whould be the same for all players regardless of IIR on player or on the waystones.

The other issue that has been raised is the impact of IIR from aura bots (note for newer players - Aura bots are a player class setup, not an automated bot system) so a group of 6 players with an Aura bot can get more than 6 times the loot of a solo player.
