They don't. How do I know? When you get the teleport "buff" from Headhunter, it will sometimes teleport you from mid-air (during a leap slam) to the center of a pack of mobs with no damage done to them. If you are using Blood Magic, it takes that health away from you as soon as you hit Leap Slam.

So, you end up in the center of a pack of mobs that have not been damaged from your Leap Slam and you have had health removed from using the Leap Slam. This happens often enough that I remove HeadHunter and re-equip when I get the teleport buff from HeadHunter.

What you might be seeing is people using loaded up Wind Dancer. If your character gets hit mid-air, the mobs will be hit immediately.

im mean mobs slammin not players, died countless times in air while shit was on the ground
that's too much. forget about it and buy another stash tab.
If you're talking about getting hit while using Leap Slam. That's just classic PoE.

I think GGG regrets ever making Leap Slam for PoE1 giving players easy travel early in the game's life. They made sure you will always get hit by everything during the animation and travel. As for why it's like that in PoE2, well everything is a copy of PoE1... or a terrible new design.

Why are you so angry and aggressive? Serious, this is your skill issue, nothing more. It's just you are leaping wrong.
