It looks good but I'm always septic to run program from unknown source.

We've standalone program, website to work for the purpose. But they're not ideal. When I'm playing I don't like to "alt-tab" windows.

Anyone can make a AutoHotKey script for it? Many here use the ahk for macro anyways, as long as it don't contain words like "file", "delete", its not that risky to use.

I am wondering about something though, this program tells me this Tomahawk has 120 dps and this Chest Splitter has 114.3 dps, but in game if I am wielding them I get 288.5 dps with the Tomahawk and 311.6 dps, well I know that the dps in game is bigger because of passive nodes and stuff, but why the one with the biggest base dps (Tomahawk, 120 dps) would get less dps in game than the one with the smallest base dps ?

I see 2 possibilities :
- Your Chest Splitter has a higher attack speed, so if you got some +x-x dmg mods ("flat rolls") on your gear, it'll have a bigger impact on your DPS.
- The PHYSYCAL DPS from the Chest Splitter is 69, while the PHYSICAL DPS from the Tomahawk is only 59. If you have some %increased melee physical dmg or %increased physical dmg or even %increased physical dmg with axes nodes on your skill tree, they'll have a bigger impact on the Chest Splitter which has a higher physical DPS (only that part is affected by the nodes).

There is a thread with auto hotkey script that does the same thing. Good effort but I won't use this.

I think u guys should be carefull using a program like this. the number crunched DPS of a item is not the whole story, this could lead to faulse information about the value of items.

I mean not to put the OP down or anything very nice of u to build a program like this and i can deffinatly see a use for it just DPS is not evreything in this game and this program could lead to folks making mistakes.

SirSid: no offense man but you talk nonsense. Weapon dps is nice and only indicator of it's worth. And ofc that final dps value depends on tree, build, rest of gear and gems. Everybody knows that.


To OP: Please man, modify your program that it can be maximized ie. increased in size so that little info area increases in size too - so that you can see all of item stats in one glance, not to scroll.

Big thanks for this calculator! Very easy and usefull. Havne't find something better one...

why bother with this when hazydoc made the autoit script that calcs everything about a weapon. This seems like a step backwards.
