Maybe you can add to your leveling tips, that it is really useful to trade a magic wand (if possible 3l with B-B-G) and a chaos-related Skill-gem (i.e. poison support or viper strike) for a +1 chaos wand (with Essence Drain, Void Manipulation and Controlled Destruction) at the Vendor. You can play with that setup really long. I'd say it is equal to a 4l 2B-2G (ED, Void Manipulation, Controlled Destruction, Swift Affliction). Additionally you can use a Orb of Augmentation once on your Crafted Wand to get something useful (either Cast Speed or Spell Damage).

We already start with Viper Strike and Poison Support. So I always would recommend the vendor recipe with one chaos related gem + magic wand to get a +1 Chaos Wand early, either for Contagion (pre level 12) or Essence Drain (at level 12 or higher).
