[3.7] SC/HC - ED/Blight Trickster - Up to 10k eHP, Layered Defense, 3m DPS

If i use Witchfire Brew and 20/44 Despair on Gear which one will affected the monster?

I am not sure what takes priority of the +1 level from the Witchfire or the quality on the blasphemy. I would just drop Witchfire entirely if you run a pimped out Despair Blasphemy. The 25-40% increased damage hardly seems worth it for an entire flask slot?

I'm seeing a lot of ED Tricksters utilizing a 40% ED Lightpoacher. I used one while leveling (without the 40% ED of course) but gbanked it at level 60. I understand its appeal for the solid life regen, but is it really worth all the fuss I'm noticing? Hell I'm using a Devoto's and that doesn't even seem to jibe very well with ED, I just happened to get lucky on the enchant and continue to use it now.

I ran a map with it just to check it out, and I see no reason at all to use Lightpoacher. The only situation where I might consider using it would be for no regen maps.

How you've got so much DoT ? I have 92 lvl, 20,5k spell dmg on ed and only 69k DoT. I am missing some dps from ed (failed vaal 3 times) 38% spell dmg from tree and ~30 if i change amulet for the one with spell and chaos dmg. But it wouldn't be 170k DoT for sure.

why low level arcane surge?

so it triggers every time you use contagion. If you go past 9 you have to use contagion twice to activate and it does only a bit more damage.

@mateki0 You might want to redo your rings/amulet with shrieking essences of envy for the extra spell damage. Also maybe take that top left damage over time node you left in the place of another node. I honestly don't see how he is getting a number like 170k. With witchfire brew up, arcane surge, all charges and even increased damage jewels I'm barely over 95k with my build, and your gear (minus the belt and jewelry) seem really decent to be honest.

While Breath of the Council is really good you could also probably get another 40 to 50 spell damage using a wand like mine if you don't mind forsaking movement skills that aren't lightningwarp. You could also get a nice chunk of spell damage replacing your stone golem for a flame golem. Plus, your empower gem is one higher than mine so I have no idea how you aren't breaking at least 90k. Seriously though, stack up some of those abyss gems with increased damage, they are pretty silly.

The 170k you see in PoB is not the tooltip damage, but the real damage against Shaper / Guardians. This can include buffs and debuffs (curses or wither, for example) which aren't normally shown in the game tooltip.

What are the best items you can get for 35-40ex budget on this build.
