So I've bought a death's opus and I was wondering what gems I should use for 5 linked Lightning Arrow.

Do I drop the GMP for slower proj., or keep the GMP?

Having 20% qual gems, 2x 5Ls, witchfire pot, crazy rings and enchanted helmet I dont know whats the final upgrade for me (I can only afford 1 soon)

2. 5L Reach Council instead of Death opus
3. Corrupted snakebites (but i have witchfire)

Also all this time I opened attacks with frenzy first, even for the packs. Feelsbadman.
Bloodrage with Inc Duration 10% and lvl 21 is amazing. Almost stays for the whole map

if you have dying sun, +2barrage enchant, +1drillneck, then opus is slightly better.

if you dont, then reach is better. for single target that is, for AoE clear/mapping speed reach is always better.

corrupted snakebite shoujld be least important. dying sun is best for mapping speed, 5L reach also is great for mapping speed. so 5L reach i guess for you

no its not, added chaos makes up for 66% of our damage, and voidmanip also applies to the poison damage we deal, so ppad is very weak compared to voidmanip. crit damage is good, but without crit strikes you will deal way less crits and therefore less consistent dps so i recommend critchance

void manip unlinked because i didnt buy a 6L yet. its not needed anyways, but void manip would be a possible 6th link.. its in there because i leveld that gem. one 6L is fine to do everything, barrage needs a 6L, LA kinda doesnt.

yes you can use TS its good too. its just that i hate it, and i think its slower to use than LA for map clearing, but you can do whatever you like more, both work fine

yeah, its mainly because you kinda only get hit when you stand still. when you move you're usully fast enough to dodge everything. but you can use other auras as your 2nd aura of course. a purity, blaspphemy+enfeeble, or whatever you like really. i sticked with AA because of the above reason.

My bad. The node gives +6% proj dmg and +10% speed, not the other way round. In this case the other node is obviously better.

i recommend getting the speed node in that area actually, it helps vs. slower proj

yes it is, but as all bow characters, getting decent ES and a good tree is diffuclt. bloodrage also hurts.

make sure you are at max. frenzy charges, or the poison doesnt work. max charges is very important for this build, please make sure

that affix is nice, but not mandatory. you wont loose much by not having it. in standard you have access to legacy reach and some other op stuff, so you can compensate :D

This build is great fun! I felt way stronger than my TS Deadeye (having 2k more hp helps a ton). Thanks for this build.

I want to try out a Cospri's Will variant of this build, but I'm having trouble figuring out gems/curses/helmet.

This is my current gear


Even with the Heretic's Veil I had to drop grace for a less-mana-reservation spell. I went with HoI, but not for any particular reason.

I don't know if i should switch back in to a Devoto's and either ignore my second curse, or figure out another way to gem it in.


Also, I think temp chains seems like the best second curse, but I'm not sure.

You currently have taken 152% life (number might be wrong, because I calculated quickly). During next 11 level ups you'll take 49% life and +50 base also 132 base from level and possibly some life on jewel. So if your life now is 4k, at lvl 90 it should reach at least 5.3k in worst case scenario.
If you change jewel near Acrobatics with jewel with life, and new jewel also will have life on it, then you should reach at least 5.5k life at lvl 90.

try grace + tempchain on blasphemy. skip arctic armour. dont use heretics its not good, either go rats nest, devoto, starkonja or a rare helmet with resist

just go with a 5L first and see how far you can get. if you feel your damage is lacking, change the setup or get a 6L. you will never need a 6L for LA, only for barrage

Hey i've just started trying your build , however im having mana issues , i'm about lv60 right now. Havent got a Dying Sun yet so i'm on a seeting mana potion. How do you sustain your mana in the higher levels without any mana potions?

It's not a dumb question by any means and a detail some people might overlook. :3
At the bottom of the tree, near the duelist starting area, are 2 points spent.
Life Leech & Life and Mana Leech. 0.4% provides a big quality of life bonus, should go for it asap if you don't have it.

Or consider putting some mana leech in a jewelry piece and save yourself a node.

Also, you can swap out Arctic armour for blasphemy-Warlords/poachers (if not using vuln on hit gloves).

Lastly, you can try linking frenzy with the mana leech gem to help you sustain both frenzy and mana

The only problem with leech on jewelry is that it'll be physical leech, which we deal very low damage with, so he might not be able to sustain with just that. Better to just get the tree node.

+2 Mana gain on hit jewels solved most of my mana issues but the duelist leech nodes are very gold, too
