[3.8] What a Shocking Tri-Element Trapper! [Fire/Ice Trap build][UberAtziri/Shaper Video]

The ability now has massive Mana nodes right behind it, making it actual worth it! However, you probably should get it once you have a decent amount of ES, around 1,5k probably. Buuut, if you think you won't let yourself get hit too much, it will solve all your Mana problems!

Oh! Wow, I didn't even look at that, haha. I guess it is worth getting! Mana is always nice anyway.
I started using MoM with less than 500 ES, but I don't mind continuing to use a manaflask. Large surprise packs can chomp me down, but for the most part it is fine. I think I went from 700 mana to 1700 over 5 levels with MoM and heart and soul.

Thanks for the build and guide, pre-legacy I was awed by using this build to clear Cruel lab at level 57.
Pretty cool build, leveling was a curbstomp after getting the links set up.
My main damage dealer against groups are the nova-traps right now, their AoE seems to be more consistent against packs; the icetraps leave a couple mobs standing quite often. They're good for breaches though.

Would you suggest taking "Blinding Assault" as the third ascendency keystone without having access to the uberlab? Seems like it gets most of its usefulness from "Born In The Shadows" - and I'm using a Stibnite flask anyways. "Explosives Expert" would be my choice until one gets the 7th and 8th ascendency points.

I'm curious if there's a way to pull this off low-life - I'll definitely try that if I get my hands on a shavs.

Oh, you should definitely get Chain Reaction! It causes all of your Ice Traps to explode at once always pretty much. I suggest getting it right away and leaving BLinding assault for last.

A low life build could be possible, though I don't really enjoy these types of builds. You pretty much turn yourself incredibly squishy with only getting a boost of 30%- Try it out, though, maybe you will enjoy it more!
Oh yeah, Chain Reaction is imperative for the cluster traps, I have that skilled.

What I meant was this;

Your suggested ascendency route: Bomb Specialist -> Chain Reaction -> Blinding Assault -> Born In The Shadows

My idea: Bomb Specialist -> Chain Reaction -> Explosives Expert -> Spec out of E E when you've completed the Uber Lab and get Blinding Assault -> Born In The Shadows

I guess it's just a matter of survivability and convenience vs. damage. I'm constantly using my stibnite, so all enemies near me are blinded anyways.

Oh, I see what you mean now! Sorry for misunderstanding you. Yes, you already analyzed it yourself perfectly. Considering you are using a Stibnite, I'd say that, yeah, you should go Explosives Expert before getting the Uber lab!
Okay so I am using this build this league and I'm loving it! One of my more successful characters because of the clear explanation in the first post.

Ofcourse I couldn't help but tinker a little on the tree because I felt the frenzy charges are powerful because those are a more modifier.

What's the reasoning behind taking Born in the Shadows vs Explosive Expert. It seems to me that the 10% elemental penetration is worth more then the 30% extra dmg after being hit?
Does Mind of the Council actually work with this build?

You don't actually inflict shocks on anything, your traps do.
In the same way you don't benefit from life on kill, because your traps did the killing, surely you don't count as inflicting the shock?

As I explained in an earlier post, Blinding Assault also causes your traps to blind enemies, meaning you will pretty much almost always deal an additional 30%.

Also, do whatever tickles your fancy more. I consider it a huge waist to get the passive that allows you to get Frenzy Charges, mainly due to almost nothing down there worth skilling past that.

That's actually a good question, now that I think about it. When I used it, my Mana problems were but nil, however, that might've been due to the extra added Mana you get from it. I'll try to figure that one out.
Do you know if other classes can do well this build?

I'm thinking about witch/ranger or scion if they can do it and more important if is worth to do it in terms of
1.damage/clear map speed potential
2.end content
3.ease of progression
4.better synergies within those classes , witch think it might be good, but I'm noob so..

Thanks.
