any thoughts on using Kongming's Stratagem unique shield + atziri's step + dodge/spell dodge?

with 30% spell damage taken reduced, you gain a lot of EHP vs spells and the dodge stacked with the high evasion and blind reducing all damage by another 10%.

I'll admit I went Demolition Specialist 2nd..and it make sit a lot smoother for me since we have to throw mines and detonate them..that little bit of time you save letting them off quicker makes it faster for me..but I am not running a detonate spell totem yet..I'll try to get that today and see if it is better like that freeing up those ascend points.

Still thinking of the best balance as far as going kaoms and dream fragments etc. I think I would rather go with boots other then Kaoms while relying on a good defensive CwDT setup with frostwall/enfeeble something like that. Taking advantage of all the blind mechanics seems good.

Dream fragments seems nice..Immune to freeze ignite and shock sounds attractive. Is Carcass Jack the best Chest piece? I was thinking Belly for Life to help with stun if you aren't running Kaom boots.

You will lose insane amount of damage - i would still go for at least 50% spell damage 100% crit chance for spells and life + res shield

If you play miner smart - you dont need that much defense

I think Belly would be great, it's just quite expensive to color. You could go for the colors first with the Vorici trick and link it then.

edit: To quantify "quite expensive": Just forget it to color an existing 6L. That's close to 9k chromatics on average for 5 off colors. 120k for all blue sockets.

i dont find that the loss of damage is bad for now in the lvling phase. plus as mines our damage is already very high to where im still one shooting most of the bosses.

As it seems good to take Born in the Shadows and skip Kaom's roots, why aren't we taking (phase) acrobatics and Elemental Equilibrium with the now available gem slots in the boots?

I have been checking out for a Yoke of Suffering for the past few days, and have not found any listed. I am worried it will not be dropping for beastiary. I tried a google search but couldnt find any info on it. Does anybody know anything about this?

Seems valid option..what would be optimal to smoothly trigger EE though, shield chargin' into stuff? Maybe..arc totem but we already use a totem..hmm damage is already good though maybe EE is overdoing it. Acrobatics seems worth though, especially with Born in the Shadows.

ok, forget about EE. I thought mines and traps do not trigger it.
Otherwise I was thinking in Orb of Storms + curse on hit + w/e curse
