"The rework made it that hits and ailments are calculated separately, but Fire/Elemental damage modifiers will still affect the portions of poison that originate from fire damage, just like physical modifiers will affect poison that originates from physical damage. I checked the wiki and you're right, it's not mentioned anywhere. However, you can check your poison DPS ingame in the character sheet, and you can also see that increases to fire damage will change that number. Builds and Guides:

"Not exactly, the core issue was poison being based on received damage - and then being multiplied again by it's own modifiers. That means any damage modifier that affected the hit also affected poison, but modifiers that affected both of those (i.e. global damage increases) were scaling poison twice, which allowed for exponential scaling. The way it is now, poison gets its own calculations, so it's not directly based on the hit anymore. Some modifiers did change, i.e. projectile or area damage don't affect poison anymore. " Finally had The Wasp Nest drop when I was around depth 340-ish/L94, ha; turns out my crafted claw works better. Picked up a Thief's Torment from a red Elder and chanced Coralito's Signature, so I'm just continuing to save up for Loreweave (42/60 now) before I seriously get into ring crafting (Elreon/Haku/Tora at 8 now for mastercrafting, at least). I've had 27 Chimera kills without the Bestiary item div card dropping once, and I've managed five Pale Council kills thanks to Pale Lockboxes as well as grinding out the chains, and, well ...

None of the seven Added Chaos Damage gems that have dropped so far Vaaled to L21, sadly. Should probably look at re-rolling my chest, working towards not needing resists from my boots to enable a Kaom's Roots swap, and working on a better amulet - not sure if I should attempt to craft on a Shaper/Elder base or not. Loreweave will help, but I need to be more proactive about swapping around flasks/Purities/etc for rippy 8-mod biomes (Hexproof/cannot be slowed on top of damage mods &c). |

Enjoying the build, tks. Found that a small amount of knockback(6% on a jewel) with aspect of the spider can make delving pretty smooth.

Hit this while crafting, I know it doesn't have the poison double damage but is it still useful? |
