I've started working on a new spectre showcase series!

In my new spectre showcase series, I demonstrate different spectres using my Pure Spectres, double clusters build.

Each video shows endgame bossing and mapping. The video starts with a gem overview and Mino kill, then I run a T16 Promenade with 4x added monster sextant mods and legion, breach, elder, ambush scarabs. I also give the pros and cons and end with a brief summary of the spectre.

Slave Driver was a popular request on Youtube, so it's the first one!

Let me know if you like the new style of video :D

PoE 3.11 - Spectre Showcase: Slave Driver

Thank you Kayella for the showcase! Liked!

Well from what i've read in the wiki - armor has extremely diminishing returns in the game and is only effective against multiple small hits while doing basically nothing against big hits.
~TLDR it doesn't matter if you get hit by 1000 or 5000 damage armor will reduce a roughly equal flat amount like say 300 and the reduction only scales with extreme amounts of armor.

I think you are way underestimating the value of armor. You are 100% correct that armor is basically only good against many small hits, it does almost nothing against big hits. However, when people are saying they are getting "one-shot", 99% of the time they are wrong - it is actually many small hits that are killing them. What happens is that mobs all fire projectiles or melee hit at the exact same time, so it looks like you are getting one-shot, but you are actually getting hit by 20 shots hitting all at the exact same time. And that is where having good armor makes a huge difference.

It depends on your playstyle and experience level, but most players DON'T die against bosses - it's against the mobs in the maps that they make a mistake in positioning and die. Boss attacks are generally telegraphed and easy to dodge. So I guess everyone should ask themselves - where do I die? In maps, or against the map bosses? If the answer is in maps, then armor is a huge help. If it's primarily against bosses, then block chance would be a better investment.

However, that being said, I went for both ES and armor on my build. I have 5000 armor, 6500 HP and 2800 ES (I use devouring diadem and MoM). So having over 9000 EHP and high armor makes me super super tanky, I love it! Oh and 50% block chance too. . . My DPS per spectre is only 1.3mil each, but that is plenty for all content.
Heyy, the clusters in PoB from Redemption Sentry still good?
Can someone invite me to party and make some REdemption Sentry corpses to me?
I can pay.

Just cant summon Redeemer influence at atlas by myself because goin on 4 level awakening with my other main character.

This is exactly my experience.

I just hit 97 btw, and only reason for that is that I do not die much, only twice since level 95.

Both times to a boss hit, one was the boss in factory I think, the one with the shock fence. cannot recall the other.. but normal mobs can get really swarmy sometimes, and if you run a lot of map mobs like I like to, with crit multi and haste, and whatnot else, the "small hits" will easely kill you.

Also, I do not have the ES, but just hit 7750 HP and will get 8K soon(tm).
And along that I got almost melee block cap (72%) and working on max Chaos res cap too, should be attainable.

But I do hear you, maybe if I changed my shield to an ES base and make a new armor with maybe hybrid armor/ES, I could consider MoM since I use the diadem, but as of right now I got only like 300ES haha, so yea I will need to take away from my HP to get ES; and not sure I really need it. Maybe if I start doing more endgame bosses :)
Hi,

Is Kay, or someone else, able to clarify what the best way forward is with regards to Cluster Jewels? I've seen the video from Kay advocating the dual overshock approach giving 90% more DPS, but then I saw some posts about overshock potentially not working with skitterbots? If this is true, should we be looking at the minion jewels?

Also, does + attack speed on a ring effect your spectres and other minions, or just your attacks?

Thanks,

Hi, I am not sure about the cluster jewels, but afaik skitters have their own shock scale, as per the gem it is 19% at 20/20, mine is 24% due to level being 25.

I am pretty sure you cannot affect that since it is not you who affect the shock.

The attack speed you can get on your character is not affecting minions, unless it has the minion tag, like "minions has increased attack speed".
Otherwise it only affecting you and if it has that tag, it is not affecting you, only the minions.

The only place where you can get same benefit is from "Spiritual aid" which say "increased and reductions to minion damage also affect you". but that is not speed, only damage and is not the other way around alas your dmg does not affect minions.
Going to do the real test on a map now that I am 97 and probably not going for 100 anyway.

This will be interesting :)

I only found this single delirium orb until now, really odd.. even if i usually get them to 3 rows.

And not socketing the last watchstone as I don't want to spawn conqueror in that area.

wish me luck ;)

It's been clarified several times, but yeah this post is up to 1375 pages so I don't blame you for not reading them all lol.

First of all, it's not the overshock that is the big DPS boost, it's the Vengeful Commander that is the big one. Even without overshock bonus, just the vengeful commander is going to be more DPS than going for a crit build for 90% of players. But for the super rich, than the crit build is slightly better DPS, but you need to also use other ways to boost crit chance, such as a crafted helm and using holy flame totem. If you dont use a +3% crit helm or holy flame totem, then using the overshock/vengful commander is better DPS.

And yes, overshock does work with skitterbots, but only the part that adds 30% to shock effectiveness. You can see the proof yourself by hitting "c" to see your char stats, and than clicking on skitterbots, and you will see that the "shock effectivness" is boosted by an extra 30%. That comes out to about 5% more damage from shock. It's not much, but it's better than nothing.

Is there a way to get that tier 7 minion damage up? I'm scared to try the 'reforge with likely chance to keep the same mods' as I dont want to lose anything.

Am I just making another now and selling?
