Is it worth using Empower level 4 instead of one of the other 3 support gems for the Animate Guardian?
And if so, which one should be replaced?

I think no, we just need ag running around buff dmg and/or blind stuff.
So correct me if I am wrong but the only defense layer we got here is our life pool? I am too easy to get one shot from almost "everything", just pop and gone, I cant even see my hp drop.

Is Avatar of Fire really necessary with Frost Bomb? If we have Holy Flame Totem up, it will overwrite FB's equilibrium effect anyway.

Is there a way to calculate overshock clusters properly in pob?

I'm guess you're doing the pure spectres build? You should spec into that when you're 100. Replace you're Flesh Offering with Bone Offering gem since you already spec Glancing Blows for 75% attack and 70% spell Block (75% with Rumi's). Make Sure you have Mistress of Sacrifice also. Pure Spec is kinda a glass cannon. You should spec into it if you know all boss encounters. Since you're using Rumi, might as well try to get 5k armour for 20% physical reduction for 2k hits or 9% for 5k hits.

HFT and you're Frostbolt is fire damage = Cold res debuff

Of course. But HFT does fire damage anyway, and FB hits like once per 2 seconds so HFT will immediately override it. I think that passive point is better spent elsewhere.

No. The spectre spell is different to player spell and also other spectres.

There is a karui spectre with fire version and it does extra damage against burning enemy! But has long cooldown, so it is not good :(

Sometimes the HFT gets killed and then the Frost Bomb pulse will proc EE for cold. So AoF is just for safety, you can try putting point in another place though
