Why do I skill these nodes?

Hey there, not a stupid question. It's the Spiritual aid passive. Increases and reductions to minion damage also affect you.

I apologize for the continued stupid question, but what exactly is the point in taking Spiritual Aid if Ancestral Bonds prevents you from doing damage anyways? Am I missing a mechanic in this factor?

Edit: Nevermind, I get it. Totem doesn't count as minion.

how would you level this as a league starter? What skills early game and what item progression as you transition to maps?
