i expected this to be hittable in 5k ish alts, after several people confirmed they did it in 2-3k.

also my question was "are there any alternatives", rather than faq to poe.trade and crafting recipes cost.

get a base with ilvl 68-74, so you get more chance of hitting fortify. as you dont get other mods with high ilvl

Don't you need ilvl 80 to craft +2 to support? Or i did misunderstand something?

Here is a more deterministic way to craft the weapon (better than alt/regal) I didn't come up with it, but it's solid. (Stolen from the Summoner discord user "Crude")

1) Get your base.
2) perfect fossil to 27-30%q
3) craft quality, 6L (can be done later, but why not here)
4) alt spam to only fortify
5) craft no attacks, regal, beastcraft remove suffix add prefix
that bricks 33% of the time, go back to 4
if it works you get +1 gems, fortify, and 50% chance of keeping the prefix you regaled

Rolling "Cannot roll attack mods" is 1 ex.

Any elder Mace will do. the original poster suggested "elder, 1.3as, i84 2h mace (steelhead, piledriver probably)"
