" You're very low level. You use a scaeva with a saviour. You need a good sword to use with the saviour because the saviour has low DPS. You have low added phys, you don't use maligaro's and don't have crit multi anywhere and above all.... you're using a 5L ! P.S. Also you can't possibly be using all the auras with that setup. " I see, thanks for clarifying. i'll start transitioning to impale and see how it goes. Was weary of your warning that it has a bit of reduced clear speed compared to ruthless and I needed to clear maps fast for currency but i'd have to level impale support anyway so i'll start doing that now. By the way, on the PoB there's no Chaos Resistance and it's at -60%. I always made it priority to at least be above 0%. Are we that tanky that we don't need it even when encountering chaos damage dealers? (I'm not really sure when or where I encounter them but i'm guessing alva's maps are chaos / atziri?) |

It's better to use impale in the long term.
I think the last time I had positive chaos res was when I made my third char 5 years ago (well with the exception of CI). I didn't know much about the game. Before metamorph there was no reason to have any chaos res. Now there is some chaos damage (mainly DoT) but in most cases I find it not worth bothering with chaos res. That's interesting, not getting some is tempting as it makes equipment easier to get but I do a lot of varied maps and am trying out a bunch of content and I don't want to suddenly die from just chaos damage. Might keep it above 0% just to be safe and as I learn the game more I might also be smart enough to have it remain at -60%. Thanks a lot! Really having fun with the build!

I love this build so far, it's so tanky, ty Aias for your work.
But I'm missing some DPS in High T16 / ilv83 Contracts. Here is my Gear: Do you have some advice which should I upgrade first? My budget is about 6 Ex, so the watcher's eye is not a option atm. Also I tried some alt. Gems like Divergent Brutality, which adds overwhelm phys. reduction - do you think that is more worth then incr. phys dmg? Use this build on HC. Reached 91 lvl, it's a very good build! Play without crits (will take them later). HC aviable, 9/10!

Is you chance to impale 100%? If not you need to work on that. Drop that hybrid flask. A simple sulphur is better. Also no need for a QS, use leap slam and get a silver. Hey Aias_o_Telamonios, I started with this build and I'm really enjoying playing, currently I'm level 94, 78% Block Chance and ~420k DPS on PoB.
I saw your recommendation on reaching 100% chance to impale in response to another player and a question came to mind, I currently have a 92% chance to impale, is it worth using the Impale Anomalous to reach a 100% chance? I checked the PoB and noticed that switching from Default Impale to Anomalous will earn about 20k DPS. What about Divergent Close Combat? Is "20% increased damage to close enemies" better than "10% increased Meele damage to supported skills"? This is my Current Gear, tips for increasing DPS are welcome:
