[3.10] Gryph's Volatile Dead Necromancer || Fun, Medium Budget, Tanky, Millions of DPS

After lots of frustrating bricks and attempts this is what I have now,

First, thank you for this build, having a blast with it!

I'm confused on your boot enchant though... I had that enchant on my boots and rolled it off as we only ever seem to "cast" cyclone, which isn't a spell as far as I can see. What causes that enchant to trigger for us? I will certainly chase it back down if it works... I've got added fire damage currently which is okay, but mana regen would definitely be better.


I flame dash to keep up arcane surge and the regen buff.

Hey loving the build, currently crushing through red maps with ease, just wondering looking around at some variants and I see spell cascade pop up in the cwc links a fair bit is there a reason you don't use it?

1. -> PC performance
2. -> VD 60 Ball limit
3. -> Requires more socket space (need more corpses) in a socket starved build
4. -> Generally just doesn't feel needed. Doesn't even boost my clear speed by any noticeable amount.

also more ballz=more lag=more death=more sad=MORE RAGE

fair enough I had thrown it in a couple times and I didn't really notice a difference other than pc lag

In boss fight (assume boss doesn't spawn any mob):
1. Will the enchant +1 copse consume VD screw up our offerings and VD rotation?
2. What are your personal favorite weapon setting? Crafted staff or Martyr with Awakened CWC?
3. What should I upgrade next? This is my current gears:

And my WE is ES on hit and Anger Crit Multi.

And I would like to share with you guys: the new Thread Of Hope Jewel (drop from Sirus), which has a 'large' roll, socketed in Templar region allow us to allocate Spiritual Aid, Counter Weight, Whirlwind Barrier, Amplify, Sovereignty and Discipline and Training cluster WITHOUT having to connect to them, can save us a tons of point to put elsewhere.

+1 VD enchant takes total corpse consumption from 8 to 9. We make 10 per CWDT proc. Doesn't affect it at all aside from some extra attack speed from corpse pact.

I love how strong Martyr is for its price point. That said, a crafted one will outperform it inevitably. It does take quite a good staff to get there though and be worth the expense.

As for the next thing to upgrade. You can either for for a Spell Crit+Offering Chest or a crafted staff.

Some easy things you can do:

Crusader Exalt your rings :D
You can hit Spell damage, %Increased Energy Shield, or Life gained on hit from your spells. The other mods are lightning damage against shocked enemies and lighting damage per power charge. Not great, but not useless either since we shock enemies and use power charges anyways.

As for thread of hope, I didn't think you could hit Counterweight with it. I'll have to look at it again.

Thanks for the advise Gryph. And I can assure you that Counter Weight can be reached because Im using it right now.
