Swift Venoms.

In my experience so far, the build starts to fizzle out around t12-ish maps when going cobra lash. It fares well defensively, but lacks the dps for bosses and your flasks run dry before the boss is dead — especially those with phases. Granted I’m running sub-optimal gear on a 5 link currently. Been great up to this point as a starter build, but I think investing in a 6 link and expensive crafts would be more worthwhile building towards transcendence version.

Divergent multistrike (3.8%)
Jewels with 3 damage mods for ex.: 6% increased Attack Speed while Dual Wielding on plague prism (4%)
Vile toxins 21/23 (1.4%)
Anomalous Withering Step for 2 more stacks (12%)
Get the belt enchant (7%)

More expensive:
Get the helmet enchant (18%)
Craft -9 resists (10.5%)
Chaos multi on gloves (6.3%)

That's where I'd start. For reference, your pob shows 5.4M dps on my config. I'm at 11.8M.


I kept your post for the right time, when I would go for these optimisations, and here I am but I am higly surprised by the numbers : aren't you confusing "increased damage" and "more damage" ?
I dont get how 2 withering step stacks give +12% damage ? You say 10% for -chaos res craft, but Im 99% sure the -res will give way more damage !

That was from playing with POB. Those numbers were just to give you a rough idea. I encourage you to try it yourself. As for withered, from the wiki:

Withered is a debuff which applies a 6% increased chaos damage taken on the affected target, stacking up to 15 times.

You can see this page https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Damage_taken on damage taken. Its calculated after additive and multiplicative.
I dont see at all any info about increased/more on your link Yalpe ?

And I never heard that wither is an exception to the golden rule "increased 1st (additive) then more (multiplicative)"

To me, a conclusion of this is the hemlet enchant that gives 3 stacks which is 18% increased damage, it's not before that getting an extra affix on a jewel with "18% increased poison damage" so it's ok but clearly neither godly nor the best enchant !
nevermind, I was still digging and understood that withered is a debuff on the target ! so yeah, it's after tour damage calculation !
Check it out in POB under the poison calculation area on the stat "Effective DPS mod". If it was truly increased, you would see it in "Total increased".

Its 6% damage. Its up to you to determine how far you want to push this build. Its not going to prevent you from doing all content.
This build really rocks, thanks to the creator and everyone who has contributed! Was able to kill Uber Elder for the first time, A8 Sirus with no deaths, and smooth juiced 100% Delerium maps. It is kind of stupid the stuff you can just sit in and facetank...

Made a bunch of cash farming Elder, plus his guardians and their respective Maven encounter, so went all in for crafting the last week.

My most recent craft and one I think is really cool. I don't need any resistances or attributes, anybody have any idea what to replace the cold resistance with?


You can make some really nutty gear with harvest, but it is also pricey and now I am broke. If anybody needs any help with crafting these or has ideas on how to improve mine, let me know!
