Performance and Stability

So what we need to do is play nothing but default attack builds with no buffs/auras/support gems. Maybe then the servers can actually do the math.

Seriously, maybe it's time for you guys to reconsider your 3 month league schedule, I think each league would benefit from a little extra time in the oven.

Either that, or hire some competent programmers with all that sweet mystery box $$$
please fix logins, keep logging in, picking a character then kicked back to log-in screen saying "an unexpected disconnection has occurred"

they keep in touch? they just ignore everything and hope they can get away with it as long as money pours into ggg's vaults. occasionally, they do some PR damage control and that's it.
Honestly, I didnt played this league yet but I'm quite happy with your post Chris. It feels very professional.

I think the problems lies somewhere else when we're speaking about performance and stability in Path of Exile. As far as I remember when I played the beta in 2012, the game had his share of problems like lag, yeah, but nothing that made the game crashed or unplayable. It was a simple and very enjoyable experience and I remember it fondly...

However, problems rose when some more complex leagues were introduced. To be honest, does Path of Exile really need some overly clever mechanics that burden the gameplay ? Does it need « tower mechanics » ? I remember too well Betrayal and just didnt care about the « relationship mechanics » at the time (nor do I today) because its doesnt belong in such a game. Path of Exile is an action game when you create characters-kill-grind-loot, not something else.

Dont get me wrong. I really like hard and brainy games, but I suppose its time that GGG thinks about what POE really is and what's the essence of the game to prevent content releases that just kills the game now and then.

funny,i noticed that too. the further poe goes the lagier it becomes for mysterious reasons.
the client become more and more memory hungry. lags and freezes pop up from the thin air where there are none before,good example is betreyal,which didnt lag or freeze/crash at encounters,then synthesis came... and shit happens,why ? who the fuk knows.
Honestly you guys should try the game in predictive mode until they fix these issues. The game runs much better for me. I only get the crazy desync of the old school days every 5 minutes or so it seems like. Worth it for not having constant lag imo.
