Thanks for the great guide, can't wait to get the POB link for the updated tree. This will be my first ever league rolling miner. Ball Lightning looks like a lot of fun.

Question, how expensive are the Machina Mitts normally during the first month of the league?

Oh, they are the trees for 3.11, but the pob version is 3.10. Standard pob isnt updated yet

usually a few ex, but will depend on how common blighted maps are.

You specc to Blast Radius for the 10% Area of Effect. As I learned during the last days BL will not benefit from Area damage. Would it therefore make more sense to skip Blast radius and just take the 10% Area of Effect from the ring? That would safe us 1 Skillpoint and we would also have 20% Area of Effect from the ring.

Hey folks, Dohn here.

I just wanted to chime in quickly for any of the new folks here to the guide catching the late pages of this thread and give a quick vouch for it, the way it is put together, and the outcome of the build from a new player perspective.

I started in 3.10 and after messing around/learning for half the league I got a little more "serious" with one character and tried this build. By league's end I had learned endgame boss fights and downed them. This guide was a huge help for a newer player such as myself and the build was very much capable of doing whatever the game had to offer (with the right amount of gear/investment you are also tanky enough with LL/High ES to take some damage while learning mechanics on shaper/elder/uber elder/sirus/etc).

Obviously 3.11 brings some changes, but as Beer has pointed out this is definitely still expected to have viability and be a beast of a build.

Mines are a ton of fun imo!

Note - a lucky Awakened Multistrike drop definitely allowed me a pretty good level of investment, probably more than most new players would easily come into. Feel free to check out my profile (char Dohnn) if you are interested in the level of gear that this perspective comes from.

Blast Radius also gives 10% area. its 3 points for 30%.


Schnuedde is right. The first node gives 10% AoE, the bottom node gives 10% AoE, and Blast Radius gives 10% AoE, but the node connecting to Blast Radius does not.

So if it is only for the AoE, first + bottom nodes saves a point.
