[3.11] Aquarism's Ice Shot [All Content]

Hi everyone,

How do you calculate DPS with Ice Shot - Barrage support?

I think I'm doing it wrong because I get higher DPS with Barrage support than with Barrage itself.

According to PoB, my Barrage DPS is currently at 2.4 million.

If I take out cold pen + barrage from the links and add in Ice Shot + Barrage Support at the same gem levels and quality, my PoB DPS is 348k for one arrow.

Now I have 1 arrow + 3 from barrage support + 2 from bow, 2 from flask (using voidfletcher) = 8 arrows (PoB confirms 8 projectiles)

8 * 348k = 2.78 million.

Is this correct? I also checked Slottm's PoB and it's the same, Ice shot + barrage support is higher DPS in his build as well.

Im currently struggeling really hard with this build, I can't even do T14 maps with constantly diying. Am I to bad to play this build or am I missing something?

I thought my gear was quite okay but singletarget dps is just a nightmare and at the moment i can't figure out what to do..

The first thing that i saw in your build that was missing was an empty jewel socket in your skill tree, also u dont really have much searching eye jewels which are the main source of damage in this type of builds

Now it is public

So, farmed 4 blight maps (only ones i had so far). got some currency and changed the annoinment on amu. Gave around 200 more Life.

Got a 6 Link Chest now, so with dmg on full life support, i am good to clear everything.

Only thing i am struggling is still single target

Is it still worth using Ice Bite at 7 frenzy charges instead of Awakened Added Cold? Most of the new write ups only cover what to do at 6 frenzies. Since there is no awakened version of ice bite, I'd assume the new supports will out scale the older ones. Also is it possible to sustain max charges just using quiver craft during map clearing?

I followed thisi build an even added awakened gems an my single target is still awful any help would be appreciated?

got a couple exa now and thinking of upgrading my gear, what should i start with and what should i get now? am i missing something important here? cant afford barrage helmet for now, was thinking of buying watcher's eye with hatred but shit is pretty expensive too.

possibilities i see atm:
- get a rare helm with high life, -#% cold resistance on nearby enemies,
+barrage projectile enchant
- play around in PoB with the taming that has +20% ele dmg quality and see if
its any upgrade damage wise
- get a pandemonious, its BiS imho, the resistance problem will be solved if you
also switch to a taming, you will loose some life but worth it
- depending on how much ex you have, consider getting an influenced stygian with
high flat life, strength and the %inc life mod -> would fix your life from
doing the above changes
- freeze immunity on movement speed flask, bleed immunity on life flask +
instant healing, curse immunity on crit flask
how are you staying alive like this :D
- higher atziri's promise roll

will make you zoom through maps even more
- checked your passives, you still have the possibility of replacing the 2
abyssal jewels you socketed for 1. a watcher's eye with flat cold from hatred,
isnt too expensive (or better if your budget is bigger), will give you more
added cold than your current jewels + some life on top, also replace the other
with a 7%inc max life + smth like global crit multi, for more life
- some atk speed on gloves would also benefit you, but you also need the
life+flat cold so might be tricky to find

edit: forgot to mention that you could also buy awakened support gems, added cold was the first i decided to buy, was a nice chunk of dmg boost

Weekend update for my SSF guy:

Clearing T16 maps in less than 2 min. Metamorphs die in less than 10 seconds. Killed a ~250 depth Aul. I have Sirus on farm now. About 3-4 minutes per fight.

One tip I can share for big boost to defense: use Herald of Purity. I randomly got a helm enchant for reduced mana for HoP and decided to give it a shot. The 4 sentinels are constantly getting aggro from bosses, which gives me a huge window of freedom to dps. Give it a shot!

Got lucky with a Dying Sun from Shaper. Wow what a dps boost. Seriously make this a priority if you don't have one!

I'm still after a Hyrri's Ire... I can't imagine how much a dps boost that's going to be.

Sirus dropped Hands of the High Templar and I got a little carried away with the vaals (15x) and managed to get this beast:

I just wish they fit into our build :(
