" Right now your DPS for CA is 797K (without configuring anything on POB) if you use TR on your weapon your TR dps for 1 POD is 520k. Just putting my info here for reference for people with low budget or still in progress. I'm level 90 and I've probably spent between 2 and 3ex total on the build, and my gems are still mostly level 19, along with level 2 empower, so there is plenty of room to improve. Level 4 empower + level 21 toxic rain will double the current DPS. MY EHP is about 7600, and I have maxed out steelskin + cwdt setup, along with the enduring cry skill for heals/endurance when I need. Feels super tanky and safe everywhere. 100% ailment avoidance. I need to get my chaos res up a little as I continue to level. The current tree has no cluster jewels because I've been waiting until they patch them to buy anything. With 2 cluster jewel setup, I will lose about 500-600 EHP but gain 120% increase in DPS. I might try to get Urgent Orders going with Enduring Call to cast it faster. " If u want TR to overlap we usually use Carcass Jack for increased AOE so the pods can stack but that doesn't matter, put your TR in your weapon (+1 +2 socketed gems) with the standard TR gems (void mani,swift aff,empower - that u have,Mirage archer,Vicious proj) and see what dps toxic rain gives you - now multiply that by 5 and that will be your TR max dps - should be about 3-4 times your CA. *this all refers to POB calculations obviously. TR isn't calculated correctly in the game tooltip. * BTW concentrated effect is useless to use on TR - anything that reduces your AOE is useless on TR - Low AOE = less pods to hit your target. if you wanna use a blue socket use Efficacy instead. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย allnamesaretaken50#7713 เมื่อ 29 มิ.ย. 2020 14:35:32

It increases the DPS of a single pod, but since the pod AOE is smaller it greatly decreases the number of pods which can affect a single entity. The pod spacing won't change with it either so you just do less damage overall.
Think of it like this: Without conc effect 1.0 million DPS per pod x 5 pod overlap =5 million DPS With conc effect 1.2 million DPS per pod x 3 pod overlap = 3.6 million dps and also more inconsistency. One of the things that makes TR have better single target than essence drain is that the pods can overlap and the DOTs stack (I think this is the only example of DOT stacking in the whole game). By decreasing th radius of the AOE, you are decreasing your ability to scale it by slightly increasing something that is already heavily scaled. |
