Greetings and salutations exiles,

I've made a small 5"x7" pan pastel painting and short poem to go with it as my entry.



Cast away, cast away and washed up onto these shores,
They thought to extinguish me, but free now my heart soars.
I see the darkness in this land, but still some light here glows,
It beckons me and the darkness sings, both my soul well knows.

I will not be blinded by the light, but use it as a guide
nor will the darkness hinder me, I’ll use it just to hide
Light and shadow, shade and gleam,
Opposing forces it would seem

Yet both are needed, in the land
And in each living thing
For one alone is always blind
to the evil that it can bring.

Hey guys, im a tattoo artist @rod_ttt (instagram)! Last week I decided to draw one exalted orb on my ipad and post it on my social media to see if i was the only one who would actually get it as a tattoo, turns out lots of people who didnt even know what poe is actually messaged me asking for the price and explanations, ofc i told them im not the author, I just redesigned it based on the pixel art of a print screen, i’d have to communicate with the author before tattooing it. Although during the drawing process i realized how meaningful and powerful the exalted orb art actually is, and after showing it to people that didnt know the game I got surprised on how iit actually touch many of them. Anyways, after that experiment i realized that contest was still going on, so i decided to share my experience here! Also wanted to ask who designed the exalted orb cause i couldn’t find it online, and apologize cause it could be a little higher image quality, but i didnt design it to be that big, also got no time this week to remake it.

Don't be too harsh on it's mediocrity, this was a massive amount of work. I've been working on it non-stop with no sleep since I logged in yesterday and found out about this, lol.

Really though, I went fucking hard to do this.

Edit: Damnit, can't get it to be a custom URL, lame. I dunno what I'm doing wrong.

I was inspired by some soundtracks from Path of Exile and decided to write my own.
