First of all, your aps is too high. Ditch lightning golem and passive skills that grant attack speed.

Second, you are using two curses without level 5 awakened hextouch support. This doesn't work. Remove one of them or take the +1 curse limit notable in the passive tree.

Third, you should find a good megalomaniac with overlord and use a rare large cluster jewel.

Finally, your amulet is bad. As I stated in the guide, what you need is flat ES, attributes and crit multi. I also stated multiple times in the guide that +1 to level of lightning gem is the last mod you are looking for. I have seen so many people picking up a bad amulet with +1 to lighting gems... This is a trap since other mods on the amulet tend to be shitty, like this one. If you get attributes from amulet, you don't have to take dex from the passive tree etc, which in turn makes you stronger.



Maybe i followed the aps chart wrong being i have the highest CDR i would need 10.1 aps. i swapped CG to LG to get me there. ill look over it again.

ill be honest never even noticed ill buy the awakened gem thanks for pointing that out.

as for the cluster's got the best one that was to offer and stopped searching ill keep a live search going since my overlord is in the large cluster.

Your calc would be...

cyclone(3)*tailwind(1.1)*weapon(1.9)*(other increased)

where (other increased) is onslaught (20%), elusive (15%), ring (3%), corrupted blood jewel (12%), retribution (5%), fuel the fight (8%), lightning golem (6%)... so total of 69% there...

3*1.1*1.9*1.69 = 10.596 so you are a bit over. If you drop onslaught you would be at 9.34 all the time which is kind of cool. Or just shave off golem, ring, or some other stuff as noesy suggested. Also, for craft on ring, +1 minimum frenzy charges is better than attack speed (grants you 4% attack speed and also 4% MORE damage).

edit: for APS breakpoints, you always need to be BELOW that APS, if it wasn't clear.

i never went above 10.1 aps

It seems that tailwind doesn't work with cyclone... I just found a reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/jgha1x/cyclone_as_not_affected_by_tailwind_or_action/

So yeah, your aps is fine. I didn't know that.

I loaded your character on PoB, and it says the aps of cyclone is 10.2. I guess you forgot to include one of the jewels (Empyrean Silver) in your calculation? If you unsocket this jewel, the aps becomes 10.08.

P.S. Your militant faith has "4% increased area damage per 10 devotion", but it's useless since it doesn't scale ball lightning damage. You need the elemental damage one.

Sorry for Newbie question in advance, have not read through whole thread, maybe it is answered already...

I am still somewhat confused with CDR/APS values and would appreciate a short answer about my current setup:
- I have 33% CDR (Belt & Awakened CoC Gem)
- Cyclone has 6.21 APS, with Elusive activated 7.09 and with Elusive & Silver flask activated it's at 8.02

I understand that my CDR is ok in the range of 14-51%, but what about the APS? Do I understand correctly, that I should not exceed 7.57 (or 7.56?), or is it ok to have APS in the range between 7.57 and 10.1? Should I stop using Silver flask, because it is a damage loss due to exceeding the max trigger point?
