The CPU is probably the bottleneck here.

You could try stygian volatile dead effect, it appears to be less laggy

Did you try stygian vd mtx? Alot of people have lag without this mtx (which is stupid lol) but personally i can play with no mtx fine. Gtx 1070 i7 8700k

i have gtx 1050ti / i5-8300H and thix MTX improves my fps/ Also I think it's more enjoyable for eyes than without this
