Thanks for the wonderful build, I just rolled my despair gloves and will definitely go for +1 curse chest but should boots with cdr be the priority? I have about 6 ex to burn and its either going to be cdr boots or tailwind boots at the moment don't think i can afford to go dual influence as of now.
Also is there a specific cdr stat we want? I'm wondering if 10% cdr vs 15% cdr which would make a big difference
There is a minimum we need if we want poet pen's cd to reduce, but any cdr is good because we are using spellslinger
Ill save for awakened spell cascades over a cdr boots or +1 curse chest, because to utilize +1 curse chest you need more investment

Ok, bough 1 Awakened Spell Cascade and it really upgraded the build by A LOT. I'd legit recommend it as the first big purchase for people trying this build, alongside the increased AoE Poet's Pen. Stuff dies quicker, more blades mean that your effective AoE radius also grows larger, you don't need to spam as much to get the same result, it's amazing.
Working on the second Awakened Spell Cascade now, and then, finally, the Tailwind/CDR boots. Also feeling like a second ring with the "# life gained for each enemy hit by your spells" mod is a must for overall survivability, so going after that, too.
This build is the definitive boss killer. Recorded a few clips of miscellaneous kills:
Shit just melts, and I believe it will scale harder with the second awakened spell cascade.

Bought the 2nd one. Yeah, even my PC is starting to struggle with the amount of blades falling. Not struggling as much as the enemies, they just die in mere
seconds. Worth every penny.
Thanks for this detailed reply. I'm probably going to give this a go at some point. Been running BV Poison all league which is fine but it's my second league in a row doing so so I want to switch it up. My biggest concern with this build was that it couldn't do bosses but obviously that's not a problem. Just wondering how it can handle juiced t16 Deliriums, like 80-100% on t16 A9s, any issues?
Had no issues with juiced(sextant, scarabs) t16s at a8 last league, not sure about this league
Thanks Astarift for the advice, quick question for damage estimate in pob, how many blade stacks of blade blast is our dps calculated from? Is it 1 or 6 blades?
1 in the gem links for the wand, bladefall is shown blue, but it should be green of course.
2 any chance you can change the type of blue color on the gem links ? it's really hard to read.
3 the leveling guide looks like it might have an error. at 28+ it calls for using bladefall instead of EK without a poet's pen. don't you mean you should use EK without a poet's pen ?
btw, i leveled without a poet's pen using EK and it works great.
That's all. Giving this build a try, looks like fun. I remember the good old days of double-dipping poison bladefall trapper ;-)
You could highlight the words to see the actual word but ok i will keep in mind to edit it in the future
28+ isnt a mistake, we swap out ek asap and use bladefall, bladefall is far superior in this situation and most situation compared to ek
Thanks Astarift for the advice, quick question for damage estimate in pob, how many blade stacks of blade blast is our dps calculated from? Is it 1 or 6 blades?
PoB calculates per total poison damage dealt per blade, which scales up linearly for 4 seconds because our poison duration goes up per poison we inflict in 4 seconds. Honestly, its very hard to calculate the exact dps of a blade fall/blast build because theres a certain element of randomness in the damage dealt.
I decided to try this new spellslinger thing and love poison, so this build was exactly what I was looking for. Really great build, been having a LOT of fun.
It was a bit hard to cap resists but the block and dodge are surprisingly reliable together, and the blind setup just gives that last little cherry on top so I can phase through packs and stack poison.
Besides that, I wanted to give a little feedback on the guide: It would be great if the grammar could be revised, it's a bit confusing for non-native english speakers. Other than that, the build is really well-made with a very nice blend of fun and strong mechanics. Thanks a lot!

Ah no wonder, thanks again for the info! Looks like bosses are going down quick with the corrupted gloves

Its hard to make the explanation part understandable to everyone, but ill try my best

Where should be the 1st awake spell cascade?
Goes into the pen. Reason being that it proccs more often and we attack faster than spellslinger can cooldown
