Hello fellow cultists. Long time no see.

Lets quickly run through the stuff.

Great league, at around the end got my pc corrupted so didn’t post the updates. Gonna do it now while we getting ready for the new one.

Also panning to remove a LOT of stuff from the main page. Some items are outdated, information is confusing for those who tried the build this league.

Alright. To the notes and discoveries of the Mercenery league.

First of all – Mercenaries. Have some notes on that, but since they are going away – gonna skip them.

TL;DR – Sniper with Grace and Haste 99% of the time.

The only thing to take from that is that once Mercs are gone, Perfect Primal Thunderbird will be taking the spot of the 4th specter to get the effect of Grace aura back. This will be relevant later, and you don’t need to do this, but having 60-70% dodge on top of max block and armor does seem very nice.


System changes

Animate Guardian

Now doesn’t lose items. On top of that lot of damage to AG got nerfed. T17 are not longer as dangerous. In theory that means you can use different gear sets and experiment with AG.

On practice that means you just gonna use the same BiS set of Kingmaker + Garb without regard of losing the items.

That being said – this league I experimented with AG a bit more. Garb was something like 20 divs because of Mercs, so I was looking for alternative.
Icetomb proven to be a decent alternative for dangerous content like juices Essences, Ghosted Rogue Exiles, and Risk Abys.

Combined with Freeze proliferation and/or freeze duration – mod you can get on gloves, it was freezing those big dangerous enemies solid. Will be adding that to mid game AG item set.


Automation and chest opening

Self explanatory – pretty big quality of life to pass on. Not gonna add it anywhere, but its easily can be included into the build for comfy blight farms.

You gonna need to replace CWDT+Moltenshell for Automation+Steelskin/Moltenshell and pick up caster mastery and Arcane Sanctuary ring instead of Arcane Guarding.


Runegrafts

Those gonna stay, right? There were a few that were rather nice to include into the build. And you can easily do that by taking masteries that are blocked by Timless Jewel anyway, so the cost is only 1 point

Runegraft of the Warp – helps a lot with “deal no damage for x seconds” ultimatum and t17 mod. Also removes poisons, ignites and w/e else. Extends duration of Moltenshell, static strike and flicker strike move speed buff. Very solid.

Runegraft of the Fortress – at the end game – 4k armor, 1.5k evasion, 150 ES at cost of 1 passive point and some dex. Arguably worth but getting attribute stats can be a bit finicky.


New items and new crafting methods

Wine of the prophet – its garbage. Don’t bother with it. For fun item and its not even that fun.

Veiled chaos orb is back, and that means
New Boots

Simply roll +2 boots with chaos resist essence till triple/double res, then anul prefixes and reforge for missing resistance. After that lock suffixed and try to hit the Move speed + Onslaught. Finish with crafting life.

Here is instruction from the discord from iFuga
reforge Chaos -> T1 chaos + T2 cold -> lock suffix -> reforge fire -> T2 fire -> Lock Suffix veiled chaos -> craft mana -> Unverils move speed + Onslaught -> craft life

The result will be something like this


Doing so frees you flask slot replacing onslaught flask.



New cheaper way of crafting BIS scepter

Turns out there is an enchant coming from Heist that no one cares about
“Can have 1 additional crafted modifier”. It stacks additively with “Can have up to 3 crafted modifiers” letting you craft 4 mods.

And because its an enchant you can still modify your weapon however you want.
First you need to remove all mods and make weapon magic. Then alt spam it will +1 all skills. After that you want to imprint it for safety.

Then you want to either Synthesize for life on hit or something useful and regal+anul till you have only one prefix or prefix and a suffix.
Restore and make a new imprint if needed.

After you have +1 all skills as only prefix you can craft multimod and fill up as follows

- Can have up to 3 crafted modifiers
- Trigger a Socketed Spell when you Use a Skill, with a 8 second Cooldown, - - - Spells Triggered this way have 150% more Cost
- Hits can't be Evaded
- Minions deal % increased Damage
The result will be something like that


Getting life on hit on a weapon would make it BiS for it will enable you do 100% reduced recovery maps that disable your leech.

In a similar way there are other sources of this stat and you REALLY want to get at least some of them, the more the better

Feast of Flesh – 10 life per enemy hit on cluster jewel. You might want to consider stacking 2 of them
Watchers eye - Gain (20-30) Life per Enemy Hit while affected by Vitality with using level 1 Vitality or Vitality Specter.
Weapon

It may not seem as much but with how many hits you make it will instantly heal you to full between blocks.


Future plans
Getting ready for next league. The drawback of not having a merc will surely affect a lot of builds. Less so this one, but I will certainly miss early haste and grace.

Granted the build will survive patch notes at all.
You may have noticed that a lot of changes relate to getting around nasty mods. This is party because of the new endgame revolving around t16.5

But mostly because Im looking to set up early afk Ultimatum farm next league. That’s gonna be my league goal, as I got reintroduced and addicted to the mechanic this league.

I still might do ‘back in time’ kind of post in preparation to exactly that.
How does the new 20% cool down recovery minion mastery will affect the build? It seems too much to cover the 3% gap between 21/20 and 21/23 and too little to get rid of the Ashes... It can be used as a "band aid" solution probably, but cant come up with any meaningful way to utilize it effectively...


Okay... patchnotes.

Lets start with a moment of silence for our Bama friends.


Now. Stuff related to holy relic flicker. Very few changes a lot of uncertainty.

Breach League Uniques are no longer upgraded from Breach Blessings. Blessings now only upgrade Breachstones.

It is uncertain if Skin of the Lords, or even Skin of the Loyal can be obtained, considering we work on Chayula now. There is some hope to that - uniques showcased in league page feature both upgraded and non-upgraded variants.

We gonna need specific colors though. How rare its going to be? Will it even exist? Best substitude is C-Tabula into Dialla, but that is very much not ideal. Be advised of this change if you plan to start this build.

Minion attacks now inherintly hit
Nice minor change - AG can now consistently execute enemies with Cull gloves.

The Gravepact Passive Tree cluster now grants Chaos Resistance instead of Minion Accuracy.
Won't say no for extra chaos res, much needed early game.

Volcanic Fissure of Snaking: No longer has 50% more Area of Effect. Fissures will not automatically target enemies hit by the Explosion of the previous Fissure in the Chain.
Its not clear how exactly it will behave in maps and if maximum triger rate was tied to this. From what I understand it should still be good for us to use, but we gonna have to see.

Volatile Cores and Drowning orbs nerfs
Pretty nice. If you can block them now - its a free mod. Drowning orbs no longer drown you faster with debuff faster runegraft.

Specters now revive
This build was tailored around making specters never die to begin with. This change lets you to maybe grab a very common specter - Pain Artist early on. It has no HP, but can stick around for a sizable damage boost.
The other thing we could do is to drop some defences. Mainly - free a gem slot - either from meat shield or minion life. Gonna have to test that.

The Glorious Madness buff from the Beacon of Madness Unique Boots Embrace Madness Skill now inflicts a random Touched Debuff every 2 seconds (previously every 1 second).
I already been looking to include these boots into the build. This change might just make it happen.

Minions have 20% cooldown recovery rate mastery.

Now thats an interesting topic.
On one hand - we don't need it - because you cant really activate relics that fast.
On other hand - for the early to mid game progression this is absolutely busted.

This means - you don't need to farm lab for HRoC gem if you don't want to.
You don't need to save for Ashes - you can just roll with +1 all skills and it will be as powerful as having ashes.
When (and if) you do decide to get Ashes - you can just ignore its roll entirely and get the cheapest one.
This will put you to the maximum trigger rate from getgo.
And at the very end game you can just refund it I guess.

Another massive benefit for this mastery - is that it lets you deal with Temporal bubble from the very start. If you know - you know.

Bloodlines Ascendacy
Interestingly enough - you could easily free up 4 Ascendacy points from this build with the use of FF jewels. If you get a FF set with Bone Barrier you can drop Mindless Agression and travel nodes. This will result of 10% DPS loss and a loss of Bastion of Elements.
We don't know yet what other Bloodlines, but we can easily fit them in.




So there is that.
Very few changes. Build would feel even smoother early game with new mastery.
And will feel terrible if there is no way to get the skin.

I've been running few tests in current league to get ready for league start.
This time my goal is to set up Ultimatum farm - the only farm that evaded all nerfs and start to print divines.

For the leveling I can recommend Vennto’s addition to the guide – Absolution leveling. But don’t hesitate to peek into other content creators leveling guides. All necros typically have the same tree. I personally will roll with Balor’s SRS leveling just to try it this league.

Greeting there fellow cultists. The first week is over so its time to have a look at how things went this league

Without a further ado – The road so far!





League start

Honestly there is not much to report. By day 1 I had 2 stones. By day 2 I had full atlas unlocked.

And as planned went to farm ultimatums from get go. That… went relatively good. Although by the time I got to that point - my gear was way above of what I expected to have at league start – Praise the Breach!

A thing to note – A little change I did last league was to drop one of the cluster jewels and invest into max spell block. With 80% Spell block and changes to minions (AG and Specters don’t die permanently) the road was rather comfy. And sure enough – Ultimatum rewarded me with some early divines.



Breach

The mechanic itself entirely trivialized with Fissure of Snaking. To the point its… very boring. Not much to day about. Other than – grab Fissure of Snaking its extremely potent this league.

Breach also prints A LOT of Skin of the Loyal and Lords – a cornerstone item of the build. Those skins as well as 6 links and high rolled rare boots and rings make the road very cozy.


Grafts

Grafts were not as exciting. They add rather minor boost in stats. Here are some grafts that you might consider using

Tul graft – free brittle early on, but minions it spawns instantly die to any damage. I’d use it only for leveling/early game and remove it once you get Brittle on boots.

Esh graft – 20% shock with minions damage mod. Cultists favorite. Its really good for midgame. Maybe even for end game to inflate your DPS.

Xhoph graft – shield and armor stats. My favorite. The shield it gives get extra duration from Warp rune and functions kinda like Bastion of Elements. Very nice during entire game.

Uul graft – provides more healing. Amplifies healing from your leech, flask and w/e else. Great extra layer of defense against DoTs.

Extra note - Tul graft can roll extra rare and extra costly ‘attacks hit extra enemy’ mod that can let you drop Ancestral Call. Haven’t gotten my hands on it yet though.

Future plans
I have few plans to play with new Ascendancies.
Two things I really wanna test
Rage vortex of berserking - granted we can sustain rage it can replace static strike by having longer duration.
Attack speed stacking – every time I take speed shrine or echo shrine the build feels amazing. Historically we never needed attack speed because we hit the attack cap with static levels. But seeing how great it feels to just zoom around, and assuming Wiki doesn’t lie in numbers – we only need ~175% attack speed to reach the shrines level. And that is not unreasonable.

So here is that. Feel free to join late and pray for loot patch.

Hello again Cultists! Its that time again. We starting the preparations for





Things I experimented with

Activating relics with vaal EQ and vaal bloodline. Doesn’t work well for multiple reasons. You cant activate Phase Run with click to move now and you cant trigger offerings. For now putting this idea away, not worth experimenting further.

Permanent Vaal Flicker – same story. Bloodline doesn’t really cover the soul cost all that well, and flicker fills up nearly instantly just from kills anyway. Didn’t work out.

Project attack speed – weirdly didn’t work out as well. On paper injecting bunch of attack speed should make build feel more fun similar to how it feels when you get a shrine. On practice – it felt… clunky. Not sure what caused it, lack of frenzy, having to run from pack to pack due to explosions, but somehow having slower attack speed felt more smooth. And tankier.

Delirium bloodline. Certainly an interesting option, but while it does make you giga tanky, it drains all the fun from the build.

That didn’t happen – means no damage from timeless, no forbidden jewels, no explosions or head hunter stacks. Very boring. But it does make you super tanky combined with minion leech.

Misty reflection – shares cooldown with flame dash. Do I need to say more.

You are the crazy one – works with Rune of the Warp and the fact we can ignore most of the debuffs. But its VERY slow. It takes 15 seconds to fully stack it on the boss, so generally not worth it.



New finds and discoveries

Foulborn Witchbane – pretty good, two of them works exactly like set of forbidden jewels while letting you still use forbidden jewels. Not auto include to the build, you technically don’t need it, but if you are map blasting – amazing stuff.

Foulborn Inspired Learning – its okay. I don’t find too much value from it (most of the buffs do not affect relics) but for 1 jewel slot its pretty good for extra fun. Especially if you doing something with lots of rare monsters.

I finally discovered valuable Eater mod for the boots. Cooldown reduction. This makes uptime of offerings much better. So we now gonna be crafting that.


Not a new discovery per say – but Im adding usage of low level Empower as a tool to have 4 specters early on. And you wanna have 4.

We also discovered a way to finally do the ball phase of Exarch. While also found a way to tank infinite damage from almost any boss or monster hits. Don’t snitch to GGG!

Farming Ultimatum also gave me opportunity to try out Malediction helm. Leer Cast is still better in terms of DPS. And Ylfeban's Trickery is better as damage reduction. However, just for 200+ divines (or if you are lucky) you CAN get Leer Cast with Malediction. Adding that to PoB warrior.


Back in time/ league start simulation

Not much to say here, no big changes to the build, other than perhaps
New early game amulet –The Eternal Struggle. Make sure you buy exarch version. This amulet is basically 15% more dps – equal to +1 all gems but costs almost nothing at league start.
And a new tech to tank exarch balls (that we don’t talk about here)

Added a new Strength/Intelligence Support Gem, Excommunicate: Supports melee attacks, causing them to gain a percentage of physical damage as extra fire and lightning damage, and excommunicate enemies on melee hit. Does not modify skills used by minions.

Can be good for certain contents as a link to the static/VFoS

Added a new Intelligence Support Gem, Exemplar Support: Supports Minion skills, causing your minions to have increased Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Multiplier for each of your own recent Critical Strikes.

You start critting often after you craft Hits can’t be evaded weapon, so depending on numbers this can be really good.

The Decayed Voidstone is now obtained from killing both the Shaper and the Elder. It can also still be obtained from defeating Uber Elder.
The extra Voidstone that this leaves is now obtained from killing the Incarnation of Dread.

These bosses are fairly easy and Maven is solved by new tech, so should be smooth 4 stone.

Scouting Reports can no longer be obtained

No more free money from beast hunts and kirac harvests.

Introduced the Anarchy Scarab of the Exceptional, which adds an additional Exceptional Rogue Exile to the area.

There are several ways we can adjusts the build to tanking that monstrosity with ease.

Introduced the Expedition Scarab of Infusion, which makes Logbooks dropped in areas always drop with 4 implicit modifiers, and causes Expedition monsters to gain increased difficulty and reward for each Remnant detonated.

We like farming expedition. So poggers.

Introduced The Ritual Scarab of Corpses, which causes Rituals in the area to contain an additional Rare Itemised Corpse monster that will appear in the Favour window after being defeated.

More Blood demons, Thunder bird and Pain Artists. Very good.

The Scarab of Bisection has been split into 2 separate Scarabs, The Scarab of the Sinistral, which grants 100% increased effect of Area Prefix Modifiers, and Area Suffix Modifiers have no effect, and the Scarab of the Dextral, which grants 100% increased effect of Area Suffix Modifiers, and Area Prefix Modifiers have no effect.

Very nice because we can ignore a lot of the mods and won’t even lose quant now. But t17 are gone, so who cares.

The following Maps have been removed from the Atlas: Glacier, Toxic Sewer

City Square and Dunes are still there, but losing those two hurts.

The following Map Modifiers can no longer roll:
Players and their Minions deal no Damage for 3 out of every 10 seconds.


Still exists in ultimatum and was solved with Rune. I’d rather have it stay – it’s a free mod.

Area contains Petrification Statues/Players have reduced Action Speed for each time they've used a Skill Recently.


This was also free – solved with Garb. But maybe we can drop the Garb now? It would suck to lose crit reduction though.

Rare and Unique Monsters remove Life, Mana and Energy Shield from Players or their Minions on Hit.

This would delete minions on certain bosses no matter what, so happy with that being gone.

Players' Minions have less Movement/Attack/Cast Speed.

Was not too bad but annoying, so okay I guess?

Sulphite found in your Maps is granted as a random Ore/ The Sulphite Infusion Atlas Passive now grants 400. Fossil rewards removed.

It seems like Delve gonna be real good this league making fossils AND ore. This build certainly doesn’t mind delving.

Smuggler's Caches now spawn a lot more with atlas support

Not a fan of heist, but this is max block. You can run through traps. So not too bad for casual heisting.

Breach Scarab of Splintering has been renamed to Breach Scarab of the Incensed Swarm and has Ailith's skills in Area instead enrage the Hive, increasing the Difficulty and Reward of subsequent waves.

Its still gonna be hold VFoS and go afk, but considering hives used to drop a LOT of items, enrage might be good.

Foulbourn uniques go core

Null and void - more healing for early game. Especially good in ultimatums.
Witchbane - 2x = occultist ascendancy but cheaper and you dont loose elementalist shield, but heavy on jewel sockets)
Inspired learning - socket into cluster
Surrender - didnt experiment with it but maybe good?
Asenath - with punish on hit. Vulnerability still better for mapping, but at least this one is not corrupted and can make use of Doedre Glutony.

It That Fled in Transportation now offers a trapped stash with Foulborn Unique items

More items to grab from players.

Added a modifier to Ultimatums that prevents players being able to Block.

I mean obviously it’s a rip mod. But we never really were doing Grueling anyway so one extra thing to avoid I guess.

So we gonna level with it most likely.

All Awakened Support Gems can no longer be obtained

-15% DPS from losing +1 minion skill levels. Kinda hurts, but what can you do.

Essence of Insanity on Rings now grants 60% of Hit Damage from you and your Minions cannot be Reflected

Even easier way to craft reflect rings now. On top of that reflect now won’t kill your relics if they get shocked or cursed. Amazing.

Removed all crafts that Enchant Flasks from the Horticrafting Bench.

No more 300 uses of Life flask in boss fights. Sadge.


"
New diamond Shrine belt.

Not sure if Im right, but diamond shrine affects minion crit too. Setting it to 100% for relics would be crazy and well worth losing triple offering.



TL;DR
Very little changed, some minor adjustements. Slight nerf to mid and end game DPS. Cool Foulborn uniques to play with. Cool new league items to play with.

Waiting for the gem list and adjusting PoB. Will make new post closer to league start.
