When you have some time to read about the mechanics of path of exile, the build is good suitable, yes.

But because clusters and auras are a bit slower developing as some other more meta-skills, it's not the fastest build also and shines from 3 divine orbs investment upwards in maps.

Guardian and Trickster are the most easy ascendancies now from 3.26, yes.

The spoilers are thematical separated into damage, defences, all stats, etc.

The spoiler "TL;Dr" is showing most fast the progress, the "Herald of Agony step by step" the damage, "Beginning and Levelling" introduces the HoA-skill and guides the levelling, etc. Take the guide on page 483, it's much more complete as on page 1.

I want gear with 4-link sockets, but it either has no resistance stats or low armour values.
I'm using orbs to change socket colours and modify the link status of sockets.
For now, I'm using orbs and crafting on gear that has decent sockets, links, and good mods to make it as usable as possible.
Will I run into trouble later in the game if I don't try to avoid using orbs and such?

How does everyone else get their levelling gear?

Best leveling equipment (Cybil's paw, clusters, Circle of nostalgia, Maw of conquest, Rare gloves with integrated chance to poison) are listed in the spoiler "Beginning and Leveling" --> "The Gear Progression | 3 --> 4 --> 5 --> 6 links".
Trade with Faustus of Kingsmarch after the acts some stacked decks and fight some mercenaries for currency.

Prefer resistances over armour values. Armour / Physical damagereduction you get first from the skill Arctic armour and later from the aura Discipline and Granite flask.

I selected "Level 70 Before CI Transformation" to finalise my skill tree.
But at this stage, my Herald of Agony gem is only about level 10 and isn't doing much damage to enemies.
I got a message saying my Dex was too low and I couldn't level the gem any further.
How should I proceed from here to properly utilise this build?

Breaching | High density

With our Aegis Aurora all high density-poe-mechanics like Breaches heals us infinitive nonstop in battle 1k-5k es on block. 75% block and spellblock are easy stacked (fullblock on tree and clusters or with keystone Glancing blows).

The huge 2-screen-wide projectile-range of HoA is fitting to stabilize fast the bosss-breaches.


Our cyclone-movement-mainskill fits perfect for uninterrupted 100% damage-uptime in breach-runs with perfect quality of life of smooth 1-button movement+damage united.

Almost each league I farmed juiced breaches and did breach-stones-runs for the high exp.
It's a one of the most fun-mechanics and also full juiced in the Allstars's-gear trivial easy, so I hope breaches will turn more challenging and rewarding joy.

Awakened fork multiplies HoA's basic 5 projectiles x7 to oneshoot 35 targets. B.i.s. in open designed maps, breaches and for harbingers.
Can be further linked with awakened gmp/pierce/chain/returning to up to 70->110->180->360 projectiles, 4x to 7x times each second oneshotting the Breach.

Returning Projectiles combinated with pierce covers 2 screens also in the HoA's backside in breaches, ravaged blights, delve and 5-ways or is combinated with Sniper's Mark to hit bosses twice after piercing or splitting.

Maxed AoE can be easy plugged in with AG's Asenaths Gentle Touch or as Occu or as Necro with forbidden flame and flesh Profane Bloom.

New Ascendancies - Bloodlines

The new alternative ascendancies fit awesome for necros, trickster, guardians, juggs, champs, scions, etc.

All HoA-ascendancies are able to free up 2-4 ascendancy-points.
Only the pathfinder needs to invest instead into "spiked concoction" on a cluster or 2 passives into "druidic rites" on the tree.

Examples:





Genesis tree

A big new vaal orbing-like risky gamble.

Because the Allstars are specialists using unique gear and flexible on each slot, probably that's the most interesting new league-mechanic.

Crafting in the genesis tree "Birthed" uniques Circles of Nostalgia, Aegis Aurora, CIP, Eber's, Triad Grips, SoL, Ashes, etc. will be extreme interesting.



The Grafts - Implantated new skills

The Grafts are introduced to fill gaps in the build. We can use them flexible to buff most wanted defences, HoA-virulences or HoA-damage.


Other new skills

The new kinetic int-skills look fast enough to be channeled for HoA-virulences instead tornadoes or ball-ligtnings.


Spectres forever

The new reviving Spectres will throw some charges, auras and curses in again.

Of course the whole build works without spectres too, and we can focus simply on the immortal HoA when wanted.


New alternative gear




Spell Suppression nerf

"Spell Suppression now prevents 40% of Damage from Suppressed Hits and Ailments they inflict (previously 50%)."

The Allstars are much less affected with their 90% flat dr, flat +max resis of melding of the flesh and their mix of defensive layers. But maxing the +max resis above 85% to 90% becomes more valuable.

Yes, you need to add somewhere enough dexterity for always full maxed HoA-lvl.

As guardian take simply while leveling the +30 dex notes.
Then on a levelling amulet anoint with blight oils "practical application". Some more dex and Str can be easy added on all rare gear or jewels too.


In endgame enough dex and str are placed on all cluster-zransfer-passives.

The full lineup of many easy dex-possibilities is shown in "checklist stats" --> "attributes".
