Could check out Ghazzys medium budget skelly build. It's around 40 ex. Pretty sure Kay instructs you how to build a medium budget version in her guide too though.

For skele mages what is better
5 link flashcraft or tabula?

Tabula is 8c
5L Flescrafter 30c
+2 Tabula 40c

Against pinnacle bosses 5L fleshcrafter with 20/20 Sniper's Mark is better because ignores res. (but you need 155 dex).

+2 tabula with 20/20 ele weakness and 8% pen mastery is almost the same DPS.

I think mapping is better with +2 tabula though.

Sorry I'm not good at estimating cost because I usually craft my own gear. But I don't think I spent more than 30ex on this build. maybe less? I'm not a minmaxer

thanks you for the build Kay.. one thing I am having trouble on is my AG has died 3 times today I am just losing money mapping and its making me just not want to play :(

idk what I am doing wrong I have the gems setup from your league starter skele mages and I am just running t16 maps any help with this? and I am doing your low cost ag set up I cannot afford high cost :(

playing the baron zombie in hc
should i skip unnaturan strenght for bone armor and commander of darkness first
dont know how much bigger of bone armor compare to steelskin lv20
but losing +2 until lab4 look hurt too
but bone armor could give more def, look super safe and free extra slot (steel skin need 1)

commander of darkness taking at 3rd lab, using with purity of elements for resist
(kinda hard to cap resist or gearing cuz need str gear first and thing expensive in hc)

I use a slightly modified version of your skelly mages. It does mapping well and I have been farming the feared and other maven invitations with it.

And just killed my first uber boss today using it!!!

Changes I made:
Rare glove and dropping punishment in order to cap chaos res too.
Stack reduced ignite duration jewel implicit + abberath to become burning ground and ignite immune.
Taking the 5% life on minion death and a 8 passive cluster jewel instead of 12 to make support minions last forever even with the craziness of this season.
Using bottled faith instead of quartz flask.

I think next I aim for a mageblood.

Maybe hard to answer but regarding Animate Weapon tight ass build - getting very low currency this league.

Cold Iron Point dagger which gives me 17 level 25 minions.
Or a crafted Convoking Wand using Deafening essence which gives me 15 minions but they have 60% increased damage plus benchcraft 14% speed and attack.

Buy the way Animate Weapon is not a real good minion build to play, my opinion only.
