" I fixed the mana problem. Forgot about vitality efficiency! Body: Molten Shell, Awakened Generosity, Malevolence, Skitterbots and Enlighten. Boots: Determination, Vitality, Tempest Shield. Swap Determination mastery > Vitality mastery. This will give you about 200 free mana (260 with original build) 160 free mana with Enlighten 3. I've made an updated build for skele mages in 3.19. A lot less DPS compared to 3.19, but still viable for all content except Uber bosses. So it's just a medium budget build.

Skeleton Mages
ABOUT  This is an easy to play minion build with good DPS, clear speed and survivability. The build cost is medium, depending on the market. Note that skeleton mages require the Dead Reckoning unique jewel. The build also uses the Fleshcrafter unique armour.  SKELETON MAGES The build uses Dead Reckoning to summon skeleton mages, which shoot enemies with fire, cold or lightning projectiles. And the Fleshcrafter unique body armour allow them to completely ignore all enemy’s elemental resistances.
Difference between Necromancer and Guardian
NECROMANCER MORE SURVIVABILITY Both has 75/75 block, but Necro has 100% uptime for both block. Guardian have 75% attack block for 2s every 5s (Bastion of Hope) so sometimes his block is about 35%. GUARDIAN MORE DPS Guardian's ascendancy gives 40% cast speed and unnerve (enemy take 10% increase damage). Passive Tree & Jewels, Ascendancy, Pantheon and PoB Pastebin

Gear, Gems & Links, Flasks
GENERAL Here is an overview of the gear, including gems, links and examples. You will need to self-craft some items with fossils and essences. Also make sure you have 75% elemental resistance, and positive chaos resistance. The gear is the same for both the Guardian and the Necromancer. The two differences are the offerings and the amulet anointment. HELMET For the helmet, you want +2 to all minion gems and reservation efficiency. The enchant should be Skeleton damage. And add +1 skeleton with your crafting bench, if you can. The gems are: Raise Spectre, Stone Golem, Anomalous Feeding Frenzy and Minion Life. For the spectres, I’m using 2 carnage chieftains and 2 pale seraphims. Buffs are more reliable if you have two of each spectre. BODY For the body armour, use Fleshcrafter so your skeleton mages can ignore elemental resistances. The gems are: Vaal Summon Skeletons, Awakened Minion Damage, Spell Echo, Predator, Phantasms and Pierce. The phantasms help with damage and map clear. And your other minions recover 5% life when they die because of Life from Death. You can swap Pierce to Hypothermia for more DPS in boss fights. GLOVES For the gloves, I recommend Breathstealer for the Blighted Spores, and to get Charisma anointment. The gems are: Tempest Shield, Sniper’s Mark, Determination and Defiance Banner. BOOTS For the boots, I like regen per Endurance Charge and Brittle Ground. The gems are: Zealotry, Generosity, Raise Zombie and Minion Life. You could replace the Zombies with Animate Guardian if you’re not scared of him dying. WEAPON The wand should have +1 to all spells, +1 to minions, and trigger. Guardian gems are: Desecrate, Flesh Offering and Life Tap. Necromancer gems are: Desecrate, Bone Offering and Life Tap. SHIELD For your shield, I recommend +1 to minions, and life recovery on block. This might be too expensive to buy or craft. So, just choose either life recovery shield for survivability, or +1 shield for more DPS. The gems are: Molten Shell, Flame Dash and Convocation. AMULET The amulet should have at least +1 to all skill gems. For Guardian, the anointment is Arcane Guardian for extra spell block. For Necromancer, the anointment is Testudo for extra attack block. RINGS Use your rings to get lots of life and resistances. I also used my rings to get enough Strength and Dex. BELT For the belt, use a good Stygian Vise with a nice Ghastly Eye jewel. You can also use a Darkness Enthroned if you want more DPS. RECOMMENDED FLASKS • Life with bleed immunity • Basalt with extra armour • Quicksilver • Quartz with remove burning • Rumi's Concoction
Trade links / Upgrading from starter

Since i started to play PoE (Scourge league), i used a SRS for starter league and started to learn the game by reading your guides...
Now, some leagues after, with 1.3k hours of gameplay, i can't even express how satisfied i am for playing with your Guardian SRS and getting 2m dps. Thanks Kay! SRS is my favorite skill in this game (I laugh at the Skulls headbuting everything around xD) |

On the passive tree you can get the jewel socket at level 8. and you can get skele ton gem after Brutus.
