The str/int merc, Fallen Reverend also has Zealotry.

I completely missed that one can actually use wands. That may be the best option to get gravebind/oblit + a useful aura.

Fallen Reverend cannot use Gravebind. So you get almost no explosions when your damage is higher than his (as it should be). You don't really need to use Obliteration on him. His default wands give him more damage (and you can upgrade them easily too).

It's still an interesting option though. Free Zealotry means that you can keep using Discipline longer, or save points on Sovereignty and get other things faster.

His damage is also very decent. He can 1-shot packs with Absolution (especially in maps lower than T16). And his minions can distract bosses and block their attacks.

Basically, Fallen Reverend can carry you early on until you are powerful enough. But eventually you will want the explosions and Sanguimancer.

Just found the new "Headhunter" Flask The Wise Prophet.
Is it any good for our build or should I trade it for upgrades?

Wine of the Prophet. It's very random. There are LOTS of possible buffs. Some of them are good, some are useless.

It's currently selling for 35 div. For that kind of currency you can get yourself a lot more power (pretty much everything on the Gearing Guide except the Simplex). Unless you are already there, sell it.

Because if you have zealotry from your merc, you do not have to use it yourself, allowing you to run another aura (discipline ?).

True, except I thought you couldn't always depend on your merc being close enough to give you the buff. Guess I should try it.
Anybody got failed Helical rings to swap? PM me here or in game pls if you do.

I finally succeeded on the 3rd attempt. Yay!
If we do the merc explosions what do we replace polymath with?

His damage is enough that it still procs a fair amount of explosions in testing even in juiced maps.

And most importantly he doesn't eat polymath and lets you use discipline. Without polymath and the ES/Hit watchers eye there's 0 way i could live through things like the super juiced expeditions/beyond in testing them out.

Nothing. You still get the damage per mastery, which is huge.

It still gives damage which is worth and things WILL die outside gravebind range so it isn't always off.

You'd only be able to replace it with whcih ever of Heartstopper or One Step ahead you chose not to take.

That or spell surpress and ES on supress but if you took that you'd want wicked ward so that your recharge is always going.

So its 3 defensive options one of which requires 2 more point investment at the cost of 14-18% more damage.

In my testing, the 'fair amount' of explosions caused by the Reverend was nowhere near the Sanguimancer. Maybe I'm missing something. Or maybe it's because I do massive damage myself and have culling, and the merc cannot compete with me at all when it comes to killing things. As I said, he can only carry you so far.

That should be not a problem at all. You have your basic ES leech and plenty of defenses.
Can i use Mageblood on this build effectively?
