[3.26] Dominating Blow Summoner – 1-Button, Chill, Tanky & Strong with Mini Aura-Bots!
Introduction
Hey there, I am Tim and I have played PoE for more than 10 years. I focus on mapping and have done a lot of self-made builds over the years. I want to have an AFK experience while playing the game, watching TV shows on the side, etc. That means tankiness, good recovery, good damage, and only one button to click for me :). Therefore, I've created a build in which you can pretty much AFK sprint down maps while only clicking one button. (Very unusual for minion builds! :D) Furthermore: This build avoids expensive key items, making it easy to follow and upgrade. You can get a Dominating Blow setup while leveling and have a budget version ready in 1–3 days, even as a beginner. I’ve used it as a league starter for the last 3 leagues and had a smooth run, even in T17s. I will constantly update the build throughout the league and improve according to the current league :).

How Dominating Blow Works :D
In Essence its simple! 1.: The Basics Dominating blow is a melee strike skill that applies a debuff to enemies hit. If those enemies die, they each spawn a Dominating blow guy- lets call him Tim for ease of wording. You can create up to 9 Default Tims. Each time you hit a unique enemy you've got a 25% chance to spawn a Default Tim. That means on bosses in new arenas etc. you've got a certain ramp time and hitting Uniques is very important (that is why we take „resolute technique") and „spiritual command“ to give us more attack speed. While Mapping, you definitely want to run melee splash for qol. Some Dominating Blow builds avoid the gem but honestly just trust me and use it. After a very short while you'll have an army together. This army is just about-permanent- since our Duration is so high. 2.: Very Indepth/ Dominating Blow Mechanics/ Mini Aurabots Now for the more crazy/ interesting part of the skill gem. While mapping you can additionally have up to 3 blue Tims (from magic packs). They RETAIN the mods of the magic pack killed. Furthermore you can have up to 1 rare Tim (from rares). The rare Tim also inherits the mods of the rare slain (and this includes auras!). So you get a Mini Aurabot rather often. Vaal Domination (the Vaal version of dominating blow) allows you up to 3 Vaal Tims. These guys hit very hard and have huge aoe abilities. They stay for a long-ass time since we scale duration. The big difference to normal dominating blow is that Vaal Tims arent limited in rarity- which means you cam have have either 3 normal/Vaal; 3 blue/Vaal or 3 rare/Vaal Tims.. The Vaal Tim will be created from the highest tier of current Tim available. That means you will get a Blue/Vaal Tim Fusion if the highest tier of tim that you currently have is a blue Tim. The Vaal Tims ALSO retain the mods that were originally captured/snapshotted. To conclude this: You can effectively have 4 Rare Tims which each captured rare enemys mods at once. If you re-use Vaal Domination the duration of the currently highest rank Vaal Tim is gonna be refreshed. That means you can capture and retain for example a Vaal/rare Tim fusion with Soul eater/ auras for the whole map. It gets rather ridiculous. Do note however that you „loose“ a lower tier Tim If you use Vaal Domination to upgrade it. In Practice you therefore look for the best rares on the map and try to retain them/ avoid spawning new ones which would overwrite your current normal Tims. Do note however that new Vaal Tims will overwrite old Vaal Tims if the current Vaal Tims youve got are of a lower tier.
General Stuff about the build
1.: About the gear Progression and different POB's -Most items are rares which push the dmg/ Hitpool farther. You can easily start with just a couple of chaos in this the low budget version. Try to incrementally upgrade the build. -The Gem Setup Changes throughout the versions. Please make sure to look into that. Also Check your phys dmg reduction! if its to low- you are missing an easy to acquire gear part somehwere :D. 2.: Spectres you can swapout/swap-in (max 3-4) into the build Demon Harpys (2); They of tul; Pale Seraphim; Perfect Forest Warrior; Perfect Warlord; Perfect Guardian Turtle; Perfect Blood Demon 3.: AG Checkout the AG Build setups. I Am using a selfmade Shock/sap Setup that is working very well. Kind of unique to my builds and im proud of it. IMO they have roughly 40% uptime on it. I've decided to use their default attack in POB to keep numbers uninflated. 5.: About Going for Endgame Bosses/ T17s. a) Offerings will have to go into a arcanist brand setup instead of cwdt for proactive dmg uptime. That means putting atleast 1 white socket on the equipment the links are on. b) Swap out Melee splash for A high Dmg support since we are effectively mapping on a 5 link. I would recommend multistrike since it makes the ramp on bosses quicker and its more consistent then ruthless even though pob says ruthless does more. 6.: Leveling the Build Go for SRS as starting skill then transition into absolution at level 12. After that simply stack as many permanent minions as you can after that (Golems; Zombies/ AG with random gear/ Random sepctres) Link Feeding Frenzy to 1 of the permanent side-minions. Get Purity of Elements as Aura and take Commander of Darkness as first normal lab Ascendancy. Transition into Dominating blow once youve reached level 60-65. They Provide a Great Pride Aura+ Frenzy Charges with the right Combo. You Can turn him into a curse/Pridebot. Ill link a Pob with the gear ive got on him currently. Once youve got him, drop your own pride aura and get aspect of the spider instead ! I tested it and he survives in very juiced t16s after the merc nerfs. The Pride effect items are rather cheap and with the additional curse rings he can perma vulnerablity+Enfeeble. General Updates
3.26 -Added Stun and ailment immunity to all versions of the build -Streamlined the POB and optimized once again! :). With new unique gloves and some gem optimization the Build can reach even more damage. -Considered going for Champion instead of necro but even after the buffs it simply doenst compare in tersm of qol. -Considered adding banners for dmg potential/big numbers but decided against it since Banners are simply clunky a.f. -I may add the new Mastery runes of 3.26 in case they fit. I shall update the build if nescessary -Added an Explanation of Dominating blow mechanics. 3.25 -Added Arcanist Brand/Battlemage cry Edit: Removed Battlemage cry/ Arcanist brand because I tested it and it didnt feel smooth enough.^^ -I've removed Determination after the nerfs and added Flesh&Stone/ Automation on the Offerings. -Fixd Mana Problems -The Build Has 50/50 true Block now after the 3.25 Tree changes -Removed the +4 Chest because people couldnt really find them on the market. -Redid The Gem Setup. " The Build can do 8k juice so I'd go ahaed and say "yes" it can do ultimatums. I havent run them myself however. The Primal Thunderbrid and the naval officer can die in hihgly juiced maps. Like every 30 maps or so 1 of them rips. I swapd out the naval officer for a perfect warlord because of it ! " All you do is run around and attack stuff. Thats why its 1-button you dont curse, you kinda afk everything :D. The sentinels work in tandem with the vaal version. CHeckout the video and you'll see :) |

" Hmm sorry but I still dont understand it. (watched the video 2 times already :)) You have to manually attack mobs dont you? " The Vaal Domination usually lasts 64 Seconds. This means that you simply hold on the button that summons the 3 ascended minions for a short while once every Minute. Other then that you simply run around auto attacking so that the normal minions may spawn. The Normal ones also last like 42.8 Seconds. I Suppose in the end you could simply run around once you've got everything summoned. I hope you understand now! |

Not sure why but when fighting rare / unique mobs my dom blow isnt procing my concentrated ground from my charm.
Also I cant tell if its spawning them during boss fights in maps as no new ones are spawned and only the ones I have gotten from within the map prior by killing mabs last. am I doing something wrong? |

" Perhaps you haven't enabled resolute technique so you don't hit often enough? The Charm should enable atleast sub-optimal uptime on the consecrated Ground. Your second comment leads me to the assumption that you probably simply need to enable resolute technique and you should be fine. do note that Dom Blow only summons on-hit from unique mobs |
