POE2 Can't login to specific character

Seems to be only an issue when traveling to or loading into Act 2 town.

Been trying to find a workaround for 24 hours. Thought I had it, but was just one lucky login. Makes the game virtually useless.

Same for me. I was in The Dreadnought cruel Act2 and the game crashed. When I want to login again it starts crashing. Can't login only with one character Amazon lvl 59. Other characters work fine.

FIXED by hard restarting my PC. (I'm on the launcher btw)

I had this issue, validated my games files, it found an error with one then it was fixed when I logged back in. Try this if you havet yet!

i have the same problem with my caracter RepentyaVIII. Cant login in that caracter

Same issue in Act III Cruel on PS5. Luckily BG3 Patch 8 dropped today :D

Do you plan getting rid of these constant recuring issues soon? Or are we better off to lay down the game until full release?

Same with me today. Engame Map - boss dropped 2 Legendaries and the popup occured - validaing the gamefiles showed 3 files needed o be downloaded again.
Aferwards I was in my hideout and all drops gone of course.

Very unsatisfying

got same problem now i cant login to my character its on copper citadel ....
my other characters i can login with them with no problem ...
please fix this im sure going to lose my citadel keys ...

OMG, I feel so sad for you. I play only hardcore and pissed off by stupid 1 shots. But if I would stuck like you, that would be "delete game".

(SOLVED) Managed to unstuck my character from map, using Local Co-op (requires 2 controllers)

Here's what I did:

1. Create a new temporary character in the same league as your stuck character. This will be the Player 1 (Controller #1).
2. During character selection, press Controller #1 and #2's confirm button to enabled Local Co-op using 2 controllers.
3. Select your new temp character as P1 and your stuck character as P2 and start the game.

This will move your stuck character from problematic map and move to your hideout (or P1's map).
