POE2 - Game crash after logging in a specific character

I was playing PoE2 in a party, the other player created and joined and instance of "The Venom Crypts", I joined the same instance and crashed.
Since then, every time I try login with that character named "Ferxen" the game crashes, I can play without issues on other characters. Would be nice to have an "unstuck" button in the login page! ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 28 เม.ย. 2025 08:43:04

Similar thing happened, but I was solo.
Got into the Venom Crypt, ran for maybe 15 seconds and crashed. Now game crashes every time I try to log in into the character. |

Possible workaround (worked for me):
Go to Options and switch "renderer" to Vulkan. In case game crashes on render change and you have NVidia card: Make sure that your hardware supports Vulkan and then check the link https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5182 Edit after fixing: Game still crashes in particular place in the Venom Crypts, so just don't go to that instance for now :) แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย MWGuardian#2353 เมื่อ 8 ธ.ค. 2024 06:13:41

" Thanks for the suggestion but its not working for me, I'm probably in one of these particular places already :( I do still think a "Return to village" option should be needed for EA atleast, since I saw a lot of people having similar problem in other zones of the game! |

Fixed it by loading my game with a free session of GeForce now, going back to town, recreating the isntance and now logging back from my computer works just as fine.
Happened again in "Jiquani's Machinarium" and fixed again in the same way! |

My character was in the maps alter, got a trade from Act 3 Ziggurat Encampment.
Teleported to act 3 for trade, crashed No longer can go into character. Say unexpected error. Need help! |

I became stuck unable to login with my character after trying to join a friend on the caravan.

switch to renderer Vulcan and texture quality MEDIUM

I have the same issue on Markerek (M4rk3r#4049 account). I have entered The Black Catacombs, crashed to desktop. Reloaded to the game, loaded into the character, moved to waypoint and at the moment of waypoint activates my game crashed again and from that point game crashed everytime i try to load into the game from chatacter selection menu.

Same here.
I am able to login for a few minutes after some time has passed and it happesn again after which I cannot login for a period of time. |
