error “missing socketed skill” in the “elemental invocation” skill

it has been working just fine for me until today with cast on ailment comet, but today i divined my amulet, respecced a couple of points (still well above stat requirements) corrupted my frostbomb and ever since, no matter what i do to try to make it to work (unsocketing, unequiping stuff, setting weapon sets on everything again, random other stuff) it just keeps saying missing socketed skill on weapon set 1 but gladly activating itself on weapon set 2. help please, build bricked

after some further digging i have found a solution to my problem on reddit.

a user pointed out that you can select the socketed skill from the skill panel details tab and also set its weapon sets there. i dont know why my comet got unselected from weapon set 1 there in the first place, but just checking the box again fixed it.
