SteamDB shows: 0 players during night time - GGG lost it's playerbase entirely!
" no thx. let the GGG community manager do the filtering. we dont need some self righteous people that scream at the slightless negativity due to some problem with the game censor anything that s feedback. and yes feedback is usually negative since people liking the game do play the game. would be much better to have a subforum called COMPLAINTS and at least those fragile beings would know to avoid it. |

This is not limited to PoE. It is all games where people feel entitled to complain. Hyperbolic language is a norm now, largely because it's easier to shout at what you don't understand than it is to learn how it works.
To be fair, people are up against a lot of stresses in the world and video games are supposed to be relaxing. It's frustrating when the thing you're supposed to be doing to relieve the stress of the world adds more stress. To be fair fair, PoE2 is a half cooked game that isn't even close to full release yet and will change dramatically before that happens. Everyone needs to relax and just be patient. When all is one and one all, to be a rock and not to roll

" Absolutely agree with this. If the community can't act as grown-ups, then it needs more regulation. It's similiar to a Kindergarden: You wouldn't let the children do whatever they want too, because at some point it would go out of control. And we have a similiar effect here. People have alot of distance and anonymity. That gives them a feeling of security, which lets them act in inappropriate ways and they would normaly never do this in real life. Imagine these "toxic people" meeting someone from GGG live. Do you really think they would say "FUCK YOU GGG" or shout at them? Nah, they would probably be nice and MAYBE share their complain in a constructive manner. But never would they be so toxic. So yes, I'm all for these kind of regulations. Maybe we don't need everything from that list, but merging topics (like exp loss), an upvote/downvote system of threads and the deletion of entirely toxic posts would help. And if these toxic people leave out of frustration, because their posts get deleted, then it's definitely no loss for us, who can act like grownups. PS: I would suggest to make your own thread with these ideas. I'm not sure if GGG reads this thread, since it was a thread to make people aware of a certain problem. |

" Someone else made a post about this already. I did a post several weeks about patch cycle and the website as whole. |

They had feedback for a few days and then things went south after the cast on freeze nerf. I think it was a combination of things that led to what you see today and it is really GGGs fault.
1) "cast on" nerf was fine and needed. Happened right when a lot of folks invested everything into it and this beta test gives the player no easy way to respec passives, skill gems, etc. Fix is to give players more freedom of changing builds on the fly. 2) Feedback was ignored. Not just that there was no response, but that any patches that came out seemed to ignore the bulk of player feedback. We got a lot of hotfixes that "fixed a crash" but nobody crashing had any positive results. Many other changes were inconsequential or the opposite of player feedback or were just bandaids to bad symptoms that needed overhauling. Fix is to perform meaningful patches and actually address problems instead of "we added more checkpoints" or some nonsense. 3) Little to no communication. They have a self-brag post and a 2 hour interview where they wouldn't address hard issues, laughed at real problems, and showed they don't even know how their own game functions. They came off as a couple guys with poor attitudes that don't give a crap what players think. And the self-brag post ends with a couple points they intend to address and they aren't any of the major things players have given feedback on. So yeah, the few folks left playing that aren't somehow making money off it are upset. And some of us who haven't played in weeks still check the forums and respond, but we aren't happy with the state of things. And anyone who had hope in this game has seen their hope dwindle or disappear. I still hope they take their time and fix core systems. EA should take much longer than a year at their current rate, probably closer to 3. But no, until they(GGG) get their act together don't expect people to respond all nice and kind with constructive feedback here. |

" I think it’s a little harsh to describe their interviews in such terms. They (to me) show a high willingness to do the PR work, good knowledge of what’s going wrong and ideas to fix such things (though they are always vague as to how), willingness to hear about things they’d not even considered as as issue and as for the ‘laughing’ that’s just keeping things light under what must be strenuous circumstances (again imo). As to not addressing ‘hard issues’, they are under an ‘obligation’ to deal with such issues but if the answer is ‘we do not know how to fix that yet’ that’s bad PR and it’s better to come back to those sorts of questions when they do have an idea. Why would GGG read forum posts about "You lost 200k players" when they have direct access to player numbers in database/analytics tools?
This title is unnecessary and I did not even read the content because it doesn't have a single intention of leading readers to the content. It is just rage bait for our community and gamers. If u want to express an opinion, learn how to do so. Maybe you can find a solution to your problem with the game then. |
