Here's a video of him being unkillable. I also show how you can escape the arena to at least do the rest of the map content with thunderous leap, and not need to die. The map is still a write off since you don't kill the boss.

Same here. Thought I was gonna skip the bell phase but ended up stuck, had no respawns :(
