Desiccated Lich prevents Walking Goliaths from dropping their loot

Two notable events, among several others. The Valley of the Titans, during campaign.
I don't know if the problem is with liches specifically, but my guess they are trying to revive the living goliaths, rewriting them to basically a minion with no loot or exp.


1. I see an essence monster, Walking Goliath, still trapped. I free it and at the same time I notice a Desiccated Lich nearby. I kill the lich, then the essence monster and it drops nothing. Not just bad loot, but literally nothing, including no essence. I even double-checked by turning off the loot filter and making sure the item highlight was on.

2. I killed a bunch of monsters, including a band of Desiccated Lich and some of its goliaths. Then a rare Goliath walks at the corner of the screen. I kill it, it drops absolutely nothing again, not even a bit of gold. Then I find there was another lich near the place the goliath walked from. I am 100% sure it was not a resurrected goliath, as I only killed it once.
