Silent Cave Unique Map - No Completion

I just killed the unique boss in a Silent Cave unique map - I did one small essence first, then straight to the unique boss. Killing the boss didnt give completion, the other imprisoned essences didnt absorb into the boss, and now the remaining rare essences are uninteractable, meaning I've missed completion with no essences being interactable or mobs being available to kill.

Edit: It could be intended that leaving some essences unabsorbed before killing the boss doesnt give completion, as theres still rares remaining, despite being uniteractable - however, the UI states "Defeat the Imprisoned Boss" as the map objective and as the other essences are uninteractable after the boss is dead, it feels unintended.

I made the same mistake - killed the boss in the center without opening all the essences. Apparently it will be considered complete if you first open all the essences, make the boss in the center strong, and then kill him
I don't think it's a bug. But I think it's a game design mistake to not give information that you need to open all the essences before killing the boss.

Ty for reply, yes I think you're right and that full clearing first would have given completion. The map objective is still "Defeat the Imprisoned Boss" though, so would be nice to clarify this or to give completion on boss kill regardless.

Added bonus of the atlas pathing now being blocked too >:(

I did this 2 times (corrupt all essences and after corrupt boss) and 2 times got 0 enemies on map and still "Defeat the Imprisoned Boss". Super stupid bug because I curretly at 38/40 of atlas tree and can't progress. And because of bug I should look for this stupid map 3rd time!

I actually opened all the essences and after that killed the boss, but didn't get the points.

Same here, killed all the mini bosses and even corrupted all of them plus the big one. Got 5 greater essences but no completion or book.

Just want to +1 to this. Happened to me today

Yeah same thing happened to me. Killed one small boss then I went straight to the middle (main boss). I didn't get anything after killing him. The game didn't progress. I wish there was an instruction to kill the middle boss last or something before entering the map.

+1 to opening all the essences and still getting no map completion
