Instead of nerfing things to the ground, fix things that nobody play
Let people have fun with builds that already work. Focus your energy on ascendancies and skills nobody play. Allow more people to have fun with their dream builds. If everyone is playing lightning spear, its not because it is too OP, but because nothing else works. Let lightning spear be, let them have fun, fix Chayula Monk es leech (so easy), make Blasphemy work with Decaying Hex - let people build that Death Knight, etc. Ease on some boring combos nobody use - do not force people to play the game the way you want, let them have fun playing it their way. Change some skills to be more situational with the same build - one for high single target, one for large AoE, one for slowing down fast enemies etc. - if you want meaningful combat, let us use skills based on a situation on the battlefield, instead of forcing us to repeat the same combo again and again. Let us have fun. Please :)

Only an absolute idiot would look at 0.2m see that there are new better support gems, see the better runes, see that the mob armor is nerved, phys damage is buffed, companions can buff you with an aura and them think that it's a nerf. The streamers that were screeching about the nerfs are either idiots and don't deserve their audience, or got paid off by Last Epoch to run a negative campaign. |

You dont understand how game development works. This HAD to happen, and the earlier it happens the better for the game health. They want a slow playstyle, which is their right. Early Access is not for the players, it is for the Devs (common entitled misconception). EA is not for YOU.
They have to nerf everything and get things closer to eachother. Was Chayula ACTUALLY bad, or just didnt keep up # wise. I cleared all content with it fine last league, but felt bad because #'s were poor and synergies. Ok. Now, everything is a bit closer, and the data will show where things sit. NOW they can buff. Now they can adjust. You think things are easy to do. nothing in game development is easy to do. You assume so because you are an entitled player. These nerfs etc are to establish data points. They need to get the pacing right first, then make the adjustments where they can. This I think was the intended launch state of the game. Now a slow crawl up is what will do the game justice and improve its game health. If they waited till later to nerf hammer, people would be furious going through many leagues like that. Now was the best time. 1st campaign play through, slower more methodical. 2nd with some levelling uniques, 13 hours, much better, smoother. Bosses are meaningful and more than 5 seconds thank god. And yes, people are playing Lightning Spear because it is OP. People are followers and would rather play OP than something they enjoy. People compare it to POE 1 too much. People want super fast blast etc. This isnt that game, and they have stated they dont want it to be that game... that is POE 1 and what D4 is for. |

If they want to nerf outliers in specific places, then nerf them specifically, do not not broadly nerf the skills and supports surrounding them. " It really didn't. They could be more measured and specific in their nerfs. Their intention was to keep the campaign the same for fresh starts. They wanted standard players to be able to play their characters in the new content. They nerfed way too much from too many angles for that to be the case. The campaign was not kept the same, not even close. The builds were murdered, not reigned in. |

" Most people that played the campaign from zero did not feel weaker in campaign. Crossbows were massively buffed. Rolling slam massively buffed, all charactes based on physical damage were significantly buffed. The only ones that were nerfed were MINION builds and Spark/arc sorceresses |

The only reason I mention Standard, is because GGG promised them that their characters would be playable. They are not. " Playing the campaign and being absolutely baffled by the community's reaction. My first character this league was an intentionally bad contrarian Bonestorm Ritualist build and somehow I didn't struggle with anything. My personal theory is that the perception that the game got harder is caused by the fact that in this league most people tried to play Huntress - a martial class and were suprpised that it needs the gear (damage on rings and gloves) to work. Like every other martial in both POE games always did. It's simply harder to start from zero as a martial |
