" Brother. Classes do not have skills. It is noob trap, that GGG is trying to force you into specific playstyle. And if you take this noob trap it is your own fault. Skills are skills, and you have to play the best ones. 99% is non-recyclable garbage. It doesn't matter where you start on the tree, just path your way to the closest viable clusters, and roll with that works. I have a warrior that outside of the river starting area have not landed a single melee attack. And I have merc, that did not land a single range attack. Play what works, and ignore the stupid GGG skill videos. So simple. |

" Guess which ascendancy class and what kind of "combo" style that is the best for the new Spear archetype ? Its Deadeye. Its not even an ascendancy class from Huntress, and the best and most efficient play-style to generate frenzy charges is not even doing combo. Most if not all Spear skills have good synergy with consuming frenzy charges, and to generate frenzy charges reliable then consuming them, you either need specific setup or doing certain combo. Unless you are Deadeye of course, since you can easily generate maximum frenzy charges with just only pressing 2 different skill that do not require doing things like parry + disengage, while also able to benefit from the effect that consuming frenzy charges twice. Single Target / Aoe Damage ? Deadeye wins. Speed and Clear ? Deadeye wins for sure. Frenzy generation and damage payoff when consuming frenzy charge ? Deadeye wins again. To not nerfing but instead buffing Deadeye in 0.2 , where the new Weapon and skills have marvelous synergy with frenzy charges, and letting the current version of Tangletounge made it to the live server, is really baffling. Mark was keeping hitting on stat-stacking and archmage in ZiggyD interview before 0.2 and for sure they are getting nerf , and yet somehow Deadeye Tangletounge slipped through his nets ? You telling me that people in GGG office cannot fathom the existence of Deadeye that using Tangletounge, having 7 frenzy charges and using skills that synergize very well with consuming frenzy charges while able to make the benefit from consuming frenzy behaves as if consume the charges twice, and also able to generate frenzy charges without a sweat ? Geez guys, it surely is complicated and hard to think. Just give players complete freedom, remove gems from weapon types and stat requirements.
Stats on gear could stay, though i prefer to see that removed too and for stats to have other scaling potential in mobility, defense or damage. |
