Stuck in loading screen (Xbox) SOLVED

Hi there,

I am stuck in the loading screen with my character on the Dawn of the Hunt server. It was happening before every time I joined in a group but after a while I could login again (assumably the session expired). That was quite annoying but at least I was able to play the game after some time of waiting. 

Since yesterday it seems to be totally broken - infinite loading screen every time I try to connect to „chimeral wetlands“. I can hear the surrounding sounds of the map but cannot play.

I read some comments how to work around on PCs but how about console players? I know it is still early access but it should work at least somehow. I invested nearly 60 hours in this character, just reached the endgame and I would like to continue playing. All my other characters are still accessible but they are located at the legacy server.

Today I hoped for a fix in the current patch but the problem still persists. 

How can this be solved on my Xbox console?

The affected character name is „MoogSub“.

As I can see I am not the only one having this problem. This has to be fixed urgently!

I wonder what kind of support can be expected here. After writing the support team a few days ago twice, the answer is still „please refer to the forum to get help“. Well I posted this some days ago and there is still no answer. I mean at least any kind of reaction would be appreciated but nothing happens. That´s really sad and kills my motivation for this game entirely.

My character is still stuck in that loading screen every time I select it. I simply cannot play. Season is moving on without me. All my buddys quit playing as well for this and other reasons.

I totally regret having spent nearly 200€ for this game in that early state…

Wasnˋt aware of that specific Xbox thread. Support directed me to this one.
Unfortunately lots of ppl complain about the exact same situation, but no solution in sight. Seems like the map session doesnˋt expire anymore. Interesting fact: Itˋs either chaos trial or wetlands. I hope to read an official statement to this somewhere.

Okay, I guess they really dont give a shit about this - just read the following comment in another thread:
„Apparently console owners of this game aren't important as this issue has been going on since December of 2024.“

So even if I start over with a new character, this issue could come up again at any time 🙈

Come on, GGG. There are tons of posts about these issues, and yet the bugs have gone unfixed for months. Players on console can't even play properly after spending money to support the game.

No balancing, no drops for PoE 2, and no new content for PoE 1. What exactly are we supporting at this point? At the very least, fix the crashing and session-related bugs.

After 4,500 hours and hundreds of dollars invested, I'm seriously considering quitting PoE entirely because of this.

Right now, the game feels like a slowly rotting corpse—and it’s starting to infect PoE 1 too.

Here is what I tried so far:

- waiting for 10 minutes in the loading screen
- waiting over 30 minutes after logout hoping for the map session to expire
- switching to several other characters on legacy server and switching back to my DOTH character
- re-installed the game
- switching from cable to WiFi
- turning off crossplay
- switching from EU to several UK/US servers
- even silly suggestions like pushing the A-button like an idiot on loading screen

But nothing helps 😞

Like I said initially: They have my full understanding when it comes to any bugs in the early access phase. But it just upsets me how the support is dealing with this. No concrete answers / solutions to this issue and re-directing the player to the forum hoping the problem will be solved within the community in some way. Apparently the number of players dealing with this isnˋt huge enough yet for getting their attention but as long as there will be no solution, the number of affected players will probably increase.

Okay here is the solution that worked for me - quite simple but you need a 2nd character on the same server:

Guys a quick fix to this is to sign in a guest controller have the other controller sign in on another character then you sign in on the locked out character that should solve the problem. You can then exit to character screen and sign in on the lockedu out character. Once you get the map to load you will have to finish that map without leaving to fix the bug. Hope it helps.
