Tower Bug with precursor tablets

After finishing a tower it is either impossible to put in any tablets at all or I can insert tablets, but after clicking activate, nothing happens and the tablets can be removed again. The towers have been successfully finished with waystones that enable all three precursor tablet slots. Because of this problem, there are almost no more powered up maps to do which makes the endgame mainly uninteresting.
