Lightning Mirage when Hit on companion not working

I tamed a Companion which has 3 mods. One of them is the modifier 'Lightning Mirage when Hit' which is not working, because when the companion gets hit nothing happens. But the other 2 mods 'periodically enrages' and 'crit resistent' work perfectly fine.
