Lost account Steam linking issue

I can't believe I have to make another thread about this known issue for people that lost access to their original PoE2 early access after linking it with steam account.

Still waiting to get my account back, lost it on 19.12.2024. after linking my steam account to poe account. I invested lots of time and money into it.

In the last 2 months was finally getting some reply-s from support on email but I need to express issue with this:

- I have sent all possible information that they need to find my account (I know that they can find account that was played on for 68 hours from the first day of release based on given information)
- I also invested time to explain this situation to (Thomas, Jessica, Lisa, ...) but I don't think they are aware of this issue

* for example: after explaining this issue in detail multiple times I am getting response:
** "I'm afraid that we do not have any record of those purchases related to an existing Path of Exile account."

- issue here is: That account was NOT linked to any existing Path of Exile account when I played it, I bought the game over Steam and was logging in over Steam.

Now I have a feeling I have hit brick wall as I have contacted support over email as instructed here on forums, but can not get this issue to some developer or system admin who can query and find my lost account.

I don't know what to do anymore ... I know this is known issue from lots of "lost account" and "steam linking" posts (I was not single one) ... what now ???

I get answer from support: "To clarify, if you played Path of Exile you would have had a Path of Exile account. it is impossible to play Path of Exile without first creating an account".

To clarify from my side, I bought the game over Steam, started it over Steam and after loading in, I get to screen with Server selection box and PLAY button, so I press play and start playing. I did not enter any username or password and that to me looked like it was not linked to any gg account.

Does any1 else have this problem that they lost their account after linking it with Steam?

I know I saw many "lost account" at the end of 2024., I would think this is known issue by now :(
