Issue cutting/slotting support gems

So i cannot cut and equip support gems if i have the skill selected in the menu, it just says the skill cannot use that support gem and it does that for every single support skill available for it. I can however equip existing support gems into the skill and cut the support gem if i don't have any skill equipped, like having the "All Gems" selected when i cut the support skill. It's doing this for all skills except my basic "mace attack" and "raise shield"

I was not at max support skills for anything, i was not missing in any stats or being over my spirit.
