whirlwind bug

Good morning,

There seems to be a bug me and my friend play together he plays twister and whirlwind build and i play an ice bolt sorceress when he uses his whirlwind and my frozen ground gets picked up, when he hits whirlwind with his twister it does not create more twisters and instead just disappears. is this supposed to happen or is it bugged?

I can confirm this. I am using a companion with trail of ice and i don't get the extra tornados when they tornados are frozen.
