Gambling isn't crafting
Gambling isn't crafting and your odds are worse than casinos. You don't give us resources, you don't give us loot drops, you don't give us any good odd of getting any stats that we need. What the hell is the point? How is any of that "fun"?

I agree. It's EA and I think alot of balance changes will happen to loot. I also think some kind of more controllable crafting will find its way into PoE2 at some point.
But right now, it doesn't feel good. The only viable way for gear progression/upgrades is literally trading with other players. Everything else feels like casino with bad odds. You just get enough exaltets to actually buy some gear from others, but then there is nothing left to actually craft something. I say it again: The game should be built around solo-play and loot, not around trading. This is an ARPG, the core-gameplay is literally built around solo-play, so why the heck is the gear progression built around a multiplayer mechanic? Why am I more or less forced to go out of the game, browse through an external website, write to dozens of people who are either afk or are not interested in selling anymore, then after finding a guy who is willing to sell form a party, teleport to him, open trade, put items in there, check if it's the right item, accept and teleport back? Ofc I'm not forced to do it and ofc there are succesful SSF players out there. But to be successful as a SSF player, you have to spent ALOT time grinding until you find reasonable good upgrades in order to proceed in the game. And that requires alot of time. I'm employed, so I can spent like 2-3 hours everyday if I'm into it, but that wouldnt be enough to play this game SSF. So yeah, loot and crafting is in a bad position and I mostly ignore it and just buy the stuff I need. But that the least enjoyable part of the game for me right now, especially it doesn't feel like "earned progression". I want to slay a boss and get tons of loot and get the feeling, that I achieved something there and got something in return. But right now? I slay the final act bosses and get mostly some white/blue drops and maybe one useless rare drop. That's not how it should be, it doesn't feel rewarding. And that's the whole point: The core-mechanic of the game - slaying monsters - doesn't feel rewarding. |

You must use 100 exa to even have a chance to get mod you need. Oh btw forgot, mod most likely will be T1 rank. Devs really hate gamers. Too bad they earned enough cash to dont give a sht about the backlash. If next patch doesnt improve/remove this issue, it will never be adressed. Like fr never. Game is going to be full of gambo addicts, praying for meta enchant: "this one exa, will surely do the trick." Game has potential, but, with the "vision". eh. People eventually will get tired of this nonsense, sooner or later. Game will have 10k max players after some time even with new seasons coming. Reputation can be lost easily, but you will have to grind for years to restore it. Something, GGG should understand better than some random poe2 player. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย greifait#3332 เมื่อ 27 เม.ย. 2025 17:20:27

" Disagree. The only reason crafting is fun is because it is gambling. If I wanted deterministic loot outcomes I'd go play something with a boring loot system like Monster Hunter. I am here for the gambling dopamine. Now, whether getting "good" outcomes is too uncommon is another discussion. I'd probably disagree with you there as well, because I think the addition of Recombinators, Fracturing Orbs, and more common Omens has shored up the most glaring of PoE 2's crafting gaps. It's very easy to get two specific top tier modifiers on an item now, and getting three is quite achievable. Reasonable gambles to get a 4th or 5th, with 6 being nearly impossible is the perfect place for an ARPG loot system. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Demonsoul1616#7179 เมื่อ 27 เม.ย. 2025 17:57:42

Yeah but it has been like this since PoE 1. Even if we gave negative feedback about it I doubt they'll change it completely.

I became rich in HC, realizing that trading was the key.
I don't farm (except for customers who like my convenient offers). I also make reasonable crafts, and they're reserved for those with good fortune. However, losing my characters (and my time) unfairly made me leave the game. This game is a job, not a hobby... |

" I feel the same. Crafting feels rewarding because of how the system is designed. The current mechanics keep the process engaging without making it frustrating. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย M1reska#2002 เมื่อ 26 พ.ค. 2025 17:40:04

Missing some orbs that would inject items with specific modifier change. Then it will be real crafting and not gambling as it is now.
We can make tons of discussion but Devs have the last word. If they don't care community's suggestions then more people will stop crafting and eventually this will lead sooner to more quittings. |
