Self healing rares really need to go. Impossible to kill
Im level 76 in hardcore and im up to t6 maps and i just had to exit and abandon a map as this rare (toughlurch) was healing faster than I could deal damage.
Im a lightning spear stormweaver with 8.3k es. Low damage but incredibly tanky in early maps, it's working out great although bosses take me a couple minutes but im ok with that. He could not kill me and I could not kill him, it was an impossible situation so I have now exited the map and dont know what to do lol. You guys at ggg should really know about this. Good idea to try but it doesn't work for lower damage builds. Took about 2 minutes of trying before I realised I had to eject. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย outlander19900#0213 เมื่อ 27 เม.ย. 2025 20:20:15 ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 28 เม.ย. 2025 21:54:17

The variety of mods are meant to challenge and provide things to problem solve for the players, I imagine you'd want to problem solve your damage or sub in a support to stop enemy healing of some sort.
If you're not in SSF, getting a friend to come and help is part of the solution and people used to do this for PoE1 when reflect phys/reflect elemental was a thing. Understand the frustration though, I guess I'm just voicing my thoughts that it's not a need to remove regen - it's just a weakness vs your current build. If the regen was causing drastic issues for all builds then yeah, totally would agree it'd need tweaking. |

Enemies regen should just be replaced with damage recouped as life instead. That way there is an upper limit to how much they can actually heal, rather than what we have now where enemies can have theoretically infinite healing.

But i enjoy my build and it works. Im screen clearing and taking a couple minutes on bosses. Im happy because its more meaningful combat, also it's hardcore and no way am I going glass cannon lol. I should not be incentivised to go glass cannon in a so called meaningful combat game.
What im doing is peak build diversity, what's wrong with being more tank than blaster? I dont want to go full dps like the meta builds you see all the YouTube steamers posting. Being tanky should be an option. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย outlander19900#0213 เมื่อ 27 เม.ย. 2025 15:32:31

" which gem prevents regen? You shouldn't need to spec into the passive tree for those odd occasions you get monster regen. Is there a skill point that pevents regen? PoE1 there is but 2? Also map success is tied to killing all rares so you actually fail the map. |

There is no support that outright prevent enemy healing currently, but it's one suggestion.
What currently exist in the game is 'Acrimony' enemy affected by non-ailment degen have 50% reduced life regeneration rate. Throw that on corrupted blood shout on a second weapon set with duration of sort. I like the idea of being given the tools and options to deal with build shortcomings rather than outright removing the problem just because it's not optimal for some builds. As for the other comment, was not suggesting OP go glass-cannon at all... but picking up some damage options and losing some tankyness IS an option. Agreed that it is problematic with map completion being tied to clearing rares, hence the call a friend option if not SSF. |

" That thinking isn't good. We need to make the game better and more fun with a diverse build variety. My build is working great apart from that on rare. People quit because of this kind of garbage. Saying that I should play glass cannon instead of more tanky is rediculous. That the equivalent of saying everyone who isn't using meta build guides are bad player and need to get good. I would argue it's the opposite. The rare is definitely a problem and if I have to follow a build guide on YouTube then im really a bad player and should probably quit. |

" Brother, re-read my post. I was not suggesting you go glass-cannon at all. Picking up some damage nodes doesn't make you a glass cannon build. Builds having strengths and weaknesses is what encourage build diversity. It's the one build does everything that hurts it, so encountering some archetype that cause difficulty to your build is healthy. Not having the tools to address it is what would be unhealthy, but it shouldn't be handed on a silver platter (and shouldn't require going through hell to solve) Have you looked at 'Acrimony' support gem? |

" This is exactly what I was thinking of before I even opened this thread. |
