I hope the .2.0g patch is more than what they said
I hope that the .2.0g patch is more than the 4 paragraphs we got a week and a half ago means that we're hopefully getting more updates that could help the game.
For example. -Mana cost from some abilities especially curses are still too high or abilities that are too high level. To make this worse is that we have ZERO way of downlevelling skills AT ALL. -Some abilities have too high of attribute requirements these could be looked at, especially since we have significantly less attribute availability on the tree. The runes were a step in the right direction early on, but this still doesn't fix the problem as rune slots are very valuable for resists or defenses. To clarify we don't need the number of gems allowed by attributes to change just simply the attribute requirements of the skill gems themselves could be lowered by about 5-15 and this would remove a lot of excessive attribute friction in the game. -Base movement speed could be increased by 10-20% and I dont think it would negatively impact the game at all in terms of dodging abilities or simply running throughzones. -We need more buffs to most skills in the game to be on the level of spears and NOT NERF spears to oblivion. While I do think lightning spear is overpowered and its clear is too effective all it really needs is "splitting projectiles do 10% reduced damage", and even then it'd still be really strong, but is it being strong a bad thing? I feel like the problem in this game right now is that we have no effective aspirations, crossbows are okay, bows are okay but they're both just worse spears, there are some chaos dot stuff, minions and melee builds that are strong, but what else? We just need more options not to have all the decent things nerfed. The game is about fun at the high end after all.. We don't need games to just remove the fun at the end, because then why "slog" through the game if that reward is never there? -Jewel sockets definitely need looking at. The loss of jewel sockets I felt was a step in the wrong direction. You can't even use the "legion jewels", in the bottom left side of the tree because there's no sockets with keystones near the warrior side of the tree and only blood magic, and that's the one of their best nodes. Witch/Sorc start also has very few gems in their area and it makes it difficult for them to even use jewels. -Trial relics should be account wide and Honour Resistance should just be baseline. As I was playing more and more, I was contempt with how Honour Resistances worked in the trials, but as I just ran it more, the more I realized that if the 75% resistances were just baseline and we just got to choose bonuses of rewards we want, such as more sacred water, more damage, enemies do less damage, movement speed, etc, the trials wouldn't be so negatively received, I feel like. I PERSONALLY don't have too much of an issue with this, but the problem is the interaction of sending relics to alts or acquiring Honour Resist, especially in SSF is just an annoyance. It requires several runs to obtain this, esp in a game where movement speed already feels slow. It's just a weird unnecessary grind and tedious action of swapping relics. -The campaign changes feel really good after the previous patches, 100% better experience. I know a lot of people are probably sleeping on this, the only thing I hate is some of the zones now just feel worse and it's only like 2 or 3 zones, specifically, Chimera's zone, and Apex of Filth. Before these two zones felt like, "hug this wall and you find it everytime", now I feel like I actually get lost and double back twice as often as before. However, I feel like we could use other things like perhaps a buff, if the campaign has been completed we now gain like 5% more movespeed while on alts in the campaign. Just SOMETHING to make repeating it a bit faster, IDK maybe this'll get better if we get more uniques and movespeed changes. -I thought about this. Why can't players buy NORMAL stash tabs with gold? I get that GGG makes money off stash tabs, but if normal stash tabs could be purchased with gold, they'd have affinity capability, and the ability to label and customize them like premium, but just not be able to be used as premium tabs on the trade website. Would this really be a problem? -I mentioned this earlier, but we really need a way to down level gems, or change a higher level gem to a lower level gem of our choice by going to a vendor or something. Maybe a vendor recipe of or simply salvaging a gem loweres it 1 level. We need SOME form of control with this system. -Speaking of gems, we need gems and supports to be put on the market board ASAP. Yes, they don't stack, but they should really be included on the marketboard. -Trading is still an absolute **** show. Half the people I feel like I tried to whisper to buy things were bots or price fixers. Can't report them for price fixing without going out of my way and writing an email about it. The most that'll happen to these people is a slap on the wrist, they'll just use one of their 5 other accounts to keep doing the same thing. Please, we just need the trade website to just have instant buyout as a choice. Example of interaction would be, I go to the website, buy the item, and when I'm done, Alva or Finn depending on the act or location, has the item on them as if you're picking up currency from them. No need to really do anything more than that. I haven't been able to play in about two weeks because of PC issues, and I've been really missing this game. I thought about my experience with POE2, and my biggest problems with the game when I did play. After seeing how silent GGG has been.. hopefully it's them re-evaluating the state of POE2 and including more QoL changes to make the experience better without feeling like the sense of reward is there. PoE2 is still an amazing game, it definitely has a mountain of problems and it just needs a LOT OF WORK. The combat feels way more engaging, I love how building a character feels in this game, in terms of its interface interaction, the menus, allocating skill points. I think this game has so much fun on a day to day basis, it feels like the goals are there, when I make characters I feel like I have a reason to progress on them, and the power scaling is noticeable. Making a character stronger in POE2 feels like it hits all the right places, the problem I have right now, more than anything is BALANCE. We need more good things, not just spears. Same problem with last season, we needed more than just minions, arc and attribute stacking heralds.. which ya heralds were too over the top. I hope we don't have a repeat in .3 where Spears get gutted and everything else just gets caught in the crossfire and we're just worse.. again. ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 28 เม.ย. 2025 21:42:16

Shell out patches constantly, or mostly all at once like for 0.2? This league has been a train wreck, but I think you could make arguments for both.
I think it will take until 0.3 for things to be back on the right track, but that's only if the roadmap at GGG has changed to align far more with the community sentiments. The current and past philosophy for poe2 has obviously not worked well. I'm hopeful that 0.3 will surprise us all in a good way, but I'm gonna expect the opposite since I'm still not convinced of that yet |

I think a huge issue is that GGG have painted themselves into a corner by convincing themselves that they need to treat PoE2 like a released game with "proper league cycles".
The game is not "stable" enough yet (both in the literal sense, and in the sense of game direction) to really support that model, they should iterate fast and hard, just throw new content out into the world as soon as possible and keep fixing broken things along the way. |

If they don't boost loot in any meaningful way then I'm out til .3
Started a new char got to maps but it's a slog even with movement speed out the ass and clearing maps with one button. The drops are pure shit. |

I have the feeling we will be disappointed by 2g. Some campaign boss loot buffs, wisp buffs, easier atlas points, simulacrum nerf and some expedition polishing.
I'd be surprised if they buff loot in general. They don't even really know what the issue is there. |

There is no currency sink until they fix crafting. Inflation will continue to run amok without strong currency sinks.
Let us buy +item Rarity on maps with exalts. |

Legitimately, I think the blatant issue is that even though the crafting is so bare bones, the drop-rate of actual currencies prevents us from even doing baseline crafting, at a reliable rate.
If GGG really wants us to craft from the ground up, we need more exalts, regals, and just overall basic currencies to craft on. We have recombinators, which yes.. they need to be rebalanced, we have the salvage bench to 3 to 1 items, we have have tools to begin crafting but on average we don't get a significant access to these until maps. We don't get enough gold in the campaign to gamble, especially if we use the gold to respec. So that option is gone. Granted, the problems above are only really problems prior to mid-tier mapping as basic currencies later on feel fine as you get to red maps. The problem is getting there. I do think this could potentially be addressed in the .2.0g patch, but I hope that we'll also receive some notices about buffing other builds to keep up with spears. I understand there could be a world where they think spears are op and want to nerf them to the ground but can't. I understand there's a world where they think that other skills should be at the level of spears. What I think they could do, however, is to simply buff other abilities by a lot, to a similar level of spears, and tell everyone, "hey guys, we intend to nerf the power of these things going forward, but for now we're just giving everyone similar power and expect changes in the future" That's just my two cents, I'm not sure even that would help the game in its entirety but it could help alleviate the friction of literally half the player base playing one archetype, at least until the .3 patch. |
