Suggestion: How to fix getting around the XP loss on death, why ppl want it.

My feeling on why people want to get rid of the XP loss on death is the reason that people want to gain the maximum amount of Skill tree passive points. to have their character become stronger. to reach MAX skill tree damage or defensive points.


Suggestion: Why not make it so that you have reached maximum skill tree passive points by the time you reach level 90. and then have the CHALLENGE part of showing your skill and determination and build strength to get the last 10 levels.

Remove xp loss on death until you reach level 90. then activate XP loss on death until level 100.

That way you satisfy the people that just want the the skill points at max. and still leave the challenge part for the "hardcore" thousands of hours played people. a nub will never reach level 100. but he will still get his treat and enjoy playing his class.

I don't think removing xp loss will improve the game. So I am rejecting your suggestion and providing an alternative for you

i hate this idea

make a character that doesnt die often and use omens. theyre like 5 exalted orbs in price.
I don't like the XP loss. Anytime I die I feel like I wasted some life.
However I am a POE1 player. So losing 10% XP without the omens was standard for me. Now I have omens I don't feel quite as bad. If you can't make up 2.5% XP before dying again then you have a build issue or you are playing the wrong maps.

If I were to remove XP loss I'd replace it with rarity and quantity loss. Something has to give you the sweats when you play and make you play better. Risk/reward is the ethos of POE.
