Design philosophy of progressing in the game
Hello,
I have seen a lot of posts revolving about the topic of what I would call design philosophy of progression. There seems to be a debate about essential things involved, like should the game be easy to progress to level 100 and should that be the main focus of the game and should the game be more like an interactive movie that entertains you on your way until completion, which there are many games like that for sure. Or should the game be more about challenging you on your way and should that be the main focus of the game and the progression be a "check" to your skills and understanding of the mechanics of the game?
